Dear Monika,
It is indeed heartening to see the support that Lotus Valley Gurgaon has demonstrated.
Rally for Rivers has caught the attention and imagination of the entire nation. The Rally
began from Coimbatore on 3rd September 2017 and as you receive this letter, the Rally is
continuing on its way up to Northern India to garner the support of many more citizens of
our country to save our depleting rivers. Fuelled by massive public support, the Rally for
Rivers will culminate on 2nd October in Delhi with Isha Foundation presenting an
overarching and holistic policy recommendation draft to the Central Government for the
revival of our rivers.
Rally for Rivers has seeped into the minds of myriad sections of the society and has truly
become a people’s movement. But, most importantly, it is the sheer fervor and
involvement of our children and youth, which has indeed painted the nation Blue in the
last few weeks and is still continuing to do so.
Be it through creativity (writing/mega art/videos, etc.), or spreading awareness about our
dying rivers or be it a vote through a missed call to 80009 80009, the unanimous support of
the students and the staff of your school has played a significant role in making the Rally
for Rivers a successful campaign by generating much needed support and visibility.
Now, even though we consider you a part of our own team in this cause, we still wish to
acknowledge the wholehearted participation of your school in this endeavor of saving
India’s lifelines and express our gratitude for your overwhelming response towards leaving
our planet well for the generations to come.
Thank you!
