School E magazine Primary School August to November- 2019-2

Issue
LVG-11/2nd Quarter/2019-20

PREFACE…

It is with great joy that we present the second edition of our quarterly e-

magazine, Different Strokes. The e-magazine is an earnest effort by the

school to allow the parent community to delve into the happenings of the quarter
and enjoy what the learners have achieved. It is known that only when the minds
of our young learners are challenged, do they shine the most. Examples of this
have been prevalent in the quarter that has gone by with the learners being fully
occupied with a plethora of events and academics.

The Learners’ Conclave 2.0 was one such example with its amazing line up of
illustrious speakers from diverse fields and highly acclaimed performances became
a platform for our learners to become the true leaders of tomorrow. Passion
Paathshala was another venture wherein the learners learnt to deliver their
understanding to the parents; thus allowing parents to take a peek into their
children’s world at school. Out of school excursions allowed our learners to come
out of their comfort zones and gain a fresh perspective on life by getting new
experiences through adventure sport and spending time with their peers amidst the
beauty of nature. The Leaners Led League is quickly becoming an event that
learners look forward to as that allows them to take ownership of all their hard
work and they take pride in showcasing the same to their parents along with a
small talent show.

We take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our parent fraternity
for their passionate involvement and constant trust. We trust that this relationship
will forever render its blessings upon the school for the betterment of our children’s
holistic development.

“Peace on earth will come to

The future of the country is right inside

every classroom and each facilitator and

parent is the beacon of light guiding the

children into the right direction. I would

like to begin by extending my heartiest

congratulations to Mrs. Anita Malhotra

and her dynamic team for the success of The

Learners Conclave. The dedicated efforts

put in by learners and teachers were duly

celebrated in the grand event in the month of Dr. Shayama Chona
October. This was the perfect opportunity to
discern and nurture the leaders of tomorrow Padma Shri & Padma Bhushan
Awardee

ready to take on the world!

I would also like to take this opportunity to put on record all the wonderful and

insightful things my learners have done this year to showcase their learning within the

beyond the classrooms; be it through the Learners Led League or the out-bound

excursions. Parents are an integral part of the school community and I must extend

my gratitude towards the entire community to always being there for our children and

for the school with the common goal of enabling the learners to shine. The Lotus Valley

team endeavours to inculcate the right values in children so that they do not become a

part of the rat race; on the contrary, they make real and meaningful contributions to

the world and become holistic citizens of this ever evolving world.

I wish the school the very best of luck for the future and applaud the entire Lotus

Valley family for their unending efforts to make the world of our children a better

place.

From the principal…

Dear Parent,

A month of joy and blessings, December

begins the culmination of the academic

session. It gives me immense pleasure to see

the comradery between the learners and the

teachers at this time of the year, with their

heads together to achieve their goals.

The school is an incarnation of self-respect,

love, affection, sensibility; responsibility and

compassion which puts the students into a

“State of flow” and makes them genuinely

want to learn. We recognize, appreciate,

applaud and foster the fine blend of

sensibilities in a child changing doubts and Mrs. Anita Malhotra
apprehensions to brightness and expectant. State and CBSE National Teacher

This school attains its eminence in the first Awardee

place through the achievement of children.

The e-magazine also espouses the School spirit which is built up within the school

through the collective actions, thoughts and aspirations. All these, I believe, would

spur higher growth and enterprise in children. It gives me immense pleasure to ensure

that this edition of the e-magazine has successfully accomplished its objective.

Learners need to be exposed to various platforms to showcase their understandings and

talents. The Learners Conclave was one such platform, wherein the learners came

together from all over Delhi NCR to discuss pertinent matters like water crises,

artificial intelligence, exam pressure and even imagining history being re-written!

Education can never be complete for a child unless there is a complete team of mentors,

teachers and parents to pitch in at all times.

On behalf of my students and teachers, I thank you for being a part of this yet another

successful year and I look forward to continuing this relationship of love and resolve.

“Together may we give our
children the roots to grow and

the wings to fly”

The school views the parents as partners
and collaborators and strongly believes in
an open communication between the
two. Open house is an important
platform to showcase the learnings of
the children in the months gone by. The
second Open House was organized on
17th August 2019 which gave an
opportunity to the parents and teachers
to collaborate and interact about the
learners’ progress. This helped the
parents to understand the learning
process of the child and gave the
teachers an opportunity to understand
more about the child’s overall
personalities like their likes, strength and
weaknesses, which empowers them to
devise new ways to make the teaching-
learning process more efficient.
