It’s the first day back at school for the students of Transylvania High School in this rockin’ new musical, but not everyone is excited. It’s not always fun being the new kid in school, but that’s just what young Dracula needs to do. Welcome Letter

Dear Valued Guests,

Welcome to the Downtown Cabaret Children’s Theatre. For the past
37 seasons, the Cabaret has proven time and again to be the premier
home for the best original children’s entertainment in Connecticut.
While we continue to strive to bring you fun and exciting theatre for
children, the Cabaret Children’s Theatre has always been more than
that. It is a place for families.

To open our 37th season of original children’s entertainment, we are
pleased to present Dracula Goes to High School. This is a story about
Dracula and his encounters with all of your favorite ghosts, ghouls,
and goblins as he maneuvers through the halls of the 1950’s inspired
Monsters High School. If you are fans of the Cabaret Children’s
Theatre you would know that, while Halloween is usually reserved for
the creepy and spooky monsters that go bump in the night, we are
anything but scary. We would much rather reinvent classic stories and
characters and present them in a fresh and exciting way, and Dracula
Goes to High School is a perfect example of that and one the whole
family can enjoy. And that is our ultimate goal; for families and
audiences of all ages to enjoy something new together and forming
memories that truly last a lifetime.

Thank you so much for coming to the Cabaret and supporting live
theatre. Whether this is your first time at the Cabaret or if you’ve been
with us for many years, we thank you for your support this and every
season. We hope that you enjoy Dracula Goes to High School, and we
look forward to seeing you again and again for another season of fun
and inventive original children’s theatre.

Phill Hill Artistic Director, Cabaret Children’s Theatre
