Welcome Letter
Dear Valued Guests,
Welcome to the Downtown Cabaret Children’s Theatre. For the past 36
seasons, the Cabaret has proven time and again to be the premier home
for the best original children’s entertainment in CT. While we continue to
strive to bring you fun and exciting theatre for children, the Cabaret
Children’s Theatre has always been more than that. It is a place for families.
We have reached the conclusion of our 36th season of original children’s
entertainment, and what better way to conclude than with the timeless
story of Cinderella. This has been a whirlwind of a season for us. We have
brought you a wicked witch in a candy house, a magic snowman, a
mermaid ballet, and not one but two Red Riding Hoods. If you are fans of
the Cabaret Children’s Theatre you would know that, while the show titles
may be classic tales, what makes the Cabaret different is the special twists
we are known for, and Cinderella is no different. Not only is it a way to make
the Cabaret stand-out by reinventing a classic story in a fresh and exciting
way, but it is our way to create a new experience that everyone can enjoy.
And that is our ultimate goal; for families and audiences of all ages to enjoy
something new together and form memories that truly last a lifetime.
Thank you so much for coming to the Cabaret and supporting live theatre.
Whether this is your first time at the Cabaret or if you’ve been with us for
many years, we thank you for your support every season. We hope that you
enjoy Cinderella, and we look forward to seeing you again next season.

was the Gravedigger in 2006’s Cinderella Skeleton. He is looking forward to
resting his face over the Summer. Thanks to YOU, audience, for helping make
this a great season. Vixen and Ithaca, I’m coming home.
