Good Intentions, Shaky Implementation Lead to Equity Concerns in New FASFA Rollout
Numerous mishaps with the rollout of the new FAFSA this year may have negatively affected the students who were supposed to benefit the most from the changes. Low-income, first-generation, and undocumented families seem to have been more adversely impacted by the implementation issues compared to the rest of the population, leading to serious equity concerns (Granville, 2024).
