ARIA’S ADVENTUROUS
LIFE!
My First Friend-
When I made my first friend, I was in kindergarten. We were at recess
and there was a section where we could ride tricycles around the
playground. I quickly ran to one of the red, shiny tricycles and rode around
the playground. All of a sudden one of my classmates came chasing after
me. Apparently she got mad at me because I took “the last bike” even
though there were about 3 left. Since I was the nice one in this situation I
let her use the trike. In the meantime I went to go sit down on the bench.
After a few minutes she got off and walked to the water fountain. I eyed
her like an eagle until she got in line for the water. Once I saw her standing
in line, I quickly ran to the trike and got on it. I rode around happily until the
bell rang again informing us it was time to go back in the classroom. Once I
was back in the class, our teacher called everyone to the carpet. That girl
ended up sitting next to me. She turned to me and said, “I’m Tiffany
Reyes...want to be friends?”, “Sure,” I replied.
Parasailing in Mexico-
This summer, in July, I went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. While we were
there, my family and I did so many adventurous things such as, rock
jumping, snorkeling, Cabo tours, and parasailing. Parasailing was my
favorite activity because it felt so cool to be up in the air having to worry
about nothing but to enjoy the amazing view. After we made reservations
for parasailing, we got ready and came back down to the beach. A man was
waving us down and letting us know that that boat right there was the one
that takes us to parasail. We got on the water taxi and the boat driver gave
us life vests. Once we got far out enough into the ocean we had to transfer
boats because the the water taxi was just-- a water taxi. After we
transferred we had to pick a partner and get harnessed up. I chose to go
with my sister so we went to the front of the boat and the workers clipped
our harnesses to the smiley-faced parasail. At first I was a bit nervous but
then the workers went over the procedures with my sister and I. “Legs
extended and straight (Just for the take-off). Hold on to the ropes right
here, don’t let go.” They let us off slowly and before I knew it, my sister and
I were up in the air catching that cool breeze in our faces. It was really cool
to see the marina and all the hotels while we were up there. After about a
good 8 minutes they slowly reeled us in. I was sad parasailing was over. It
was such a great experience. After my sister and I went, it was time for my
mom, dad, and little brother to go, I’m sure they liked it as well.

Bear Sighting During Camping-
A long time ago in a campsite far, far, away, stayed my family,
including my aunt and her family. I can’t remember what the campsite was
called or where it was, but all I remember was that it was somewhere in the
mountains . Everyone was outside having a great time in the small river
with the floaties and balls. We were all enjoying ourselves. There were a lot
of trees by the river, so my cousin (Sylvia) and I thought it would be fun to
play Hide ‘n Seek. We got out of the river and started drying off and put
some sandals on. We were deciding who was going to hide and who will
seek. After a game of “rock, paper, scissors,” it was decided that I was
seeking and Sylvia was hiding. I counted to 20 and began looking for her.
Before I could find her, she ran out from behind the tree and came up to
me and said “LOOK! IT’S A BEAR!” Immediately, she and I ran back to the
river and told our parents. When we told my aunt she turned to us and said,
“Girls, get in the tent.” I came behind Sylvia as we ran to the tent, I grabbed
Esmeralda’s hand (other cousin) and brought her with us in the tent. Once
all three of us were in the tent we zipped it up quickly. For some reason I
can’t remember why, but we started crying; probably because we were
scared. Every now and then, we’d peek out and see what’s going on. It kind
of sucked though because we were missing out on all of the fun. But when
my aunt came in and told us the bear was gone, we went out and continued
to play and swim.
First Visit to Universal Studios Hollywood-
Sometime in 2013 my aunt wanted to take me to Universal Studios
Hollywood for the first time. When we got there, my aunt had a lot of
trouble getting me in because we were using this online thingy, so she
started to get mad at the people working the ticket booth. One way or
another, they let me in. I think the the first ride we went on was the Jurrasic
Park ride. At first it was a bit scary for me because the dinosaurs looked so
realistic it was was creeping me out. During the part of the ride where the
drop is, I already felt the regret of going on this ride because I felt my heart
beating so fast, I felt the adrenaline rising during that drop. After the ride
was over, we went to go look at the picture and boy was it embarrassing!
You can see how red my face was, my teeth gritting, hair flying. It was really
fun though. I remember going on The Simpsons ride, I really liked that one.
We covered nearly all of the attractions in the park that day; Transformers,
the Mummy Ride, The Tram Ride and so many more! I remember riding the
Mummy ride which at first didn’t like because we went backwards and I just
really didn’t like the feeling. When the park was almost closing we went
into the souvenir shop and since it was winter time I decided to get a hot
chocolate mug with the minions from Despicable Me on it. Before we left I
got to see Betty Boop in the souvenir shop. I had lots of fun that night with
my aunt and cousins.
