Halong Bay DAY 1: ARRIVE HANOI On arrival in Hanoi a tour guide will be there to meet you and
Hoi An transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel and will assist with the check-in process. The

DAY 2: HANOI Start your day with a cultural tour by Jeep and learn about the contrasting
traditional residential villages and the new architecture in the developing areas. Enjoy the
ambience and culture of rarely visited pagodas where daily worship is still practised. After
visiting a traditional Ao Dai Fashion House, continue on to the Museum of Ethnology and
explore the cultural heritage and diversity of Vietnam. Experience a unique two Michelin-
star menu from the famous French chef Alain Dutournier at the Press Club Restaurant before
an orientation tour of Hanoi with its tree-lined streets resplendent with French colonial
architecture, including the recently restored Opera House. Pass Hoan Kiem Lake, en route
to one of the city’s many fascinating museums. Choose from the Ancient History, Military
History or Fine Arts, depending on your personal interests. Later this afternoon, you will
explore Hanoi’s Old Quarter by cyclo and electric buggy, this densely populated area of
the city is the oldest continuously developed section of Vietnam and was once an important
centre of commerce where goods were sold on the street name of a particular guild.

DAY 3: HANOI TO HALONG BAY After breakfast take a scenic seaplane flight to
Halong where you will then transfer to board your junk boat for a day of sailing amongst
the emerald waters, past rocky islets and lush islands. As night falls the boat will dock at a
peaceful spot. Enjoy a refreshing drink with a sublime view from the sun deck before dinner.

DAY 4: HALONG BAY TO HANOI TO DA NANG/HOI AN Take some time to
appreciate the stunning surroundings of Halong Bay before transferring by seaplane back
to Hanoi. From here take a short flight to Da Nang. On arrival check in to your hotel. Dinner

DAY 5: DA NANG/HOI AN This morning, join your fellow cooking enthusiasts for a
market visit where you can interact with the locals and purchase the ingredients needed for
a countryside cooking lesson at Red Bridge. In the afternoon discover Hoi An with a half
day walking tour where you will be enchanted by beautifully restored old merchant houses
and atmospheric temples. Finish today with a romantic Hoi An sundowner boat trip and

DAY 6: DA NANG/HOI AN Today is a full day at leisure for you to explore Hoi An at

DAY 7: DA NANG/HOI AN TO HO CHI MINH CITY Take a flight to Vietnam’s
largest city, Ho Chi Minh. Join ‘The Mist’ performance at the Saigon Opera House – a
mesmerising show which takes the audience on a journey through the trials and tribulations
of everyday village life. Afterwards transfer for dinner at Hoa Tuc – a lovely restaurant

DAY 8: HO CHI MINH CITY This morning journey by shared speedboat to Cu Chi
Tunnels, an underground network of passages devised and used during the Vietnam War.
Enjoy lunch before returning to the city and embarking upon a private city tour taking in
sights such as the Reunification Palace, the French-colonial Post Office and City Hall, the
final stop is the Jade Emperor Pagoda. (B, L)

DAY 9: HO CHI MINH CITY TO MEKONG DELTA Spend a full day onboard the Cai
Be Princess meandering along the Mekong Delta. Witness floating markets, Dong Hoa
Hiep Island and a selection of home markets to observe how local products such as rice
paste, coconut candy and rice paper are made. This evening visit Chill Skybar where the

Koh Chen, where you can visit some home workshops that manufacture copperware. Later,
