Harry leads all aspects of contracts, pricing and supply chain including responsibility for the company’s risk review process
and development of companywide contracts and pricing policies, direction and training. He is also responsible for developing and implementing
companywide supply chain strategies and key processes, including socioeconomic business planning, strategy and compliance relative to its supply
chain. Harry possesses 34+ years of combined Aerospace and Defense business management experience and serves as the principal interface

Derica Carty PHR, is a senior instructional designer at Grant Thornton’s Global Public Sector in Alexandria, Va. In this role,
she designs, develops, implements and evaluates classroom learning programs. She has a master’s degree in Instructional
Technology from the Queens College. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Derica was a consultant with Deloitte, BearingPoint,
and Grays Systems delivering comprehensive technical training to the government sector. Her clients included the
Department of Justice, Food and Drug Administration and the National Archives. She currently resides in Washington, D.C.
Yoon Chong
Director, PwC
Yoon Chong has over 15 years of extensive experience within internal audit, governance, compliance and broader risk and
controls services. He has 7 years of experience leading teams within Goldman Sachs Internal Audit Department, managing
various lines of business audit teams and helping his internal audit clients in meeting the expectations of bank and securities
regulations including numerous interactions with Federal and State regulators. His prior experiences also included advising
senior management in executing, structuring, and valuation analysis of complex derivative transactions and in mergers and acquisitions including
due diligence, structuring and financial accounting within the financial services industry. He has worked in three different PwC offices globally
since he started with the firm in 1997. Yoon is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, holds

is achieved on all dimensions. Prior to assuming his current role, Jay spent 15 years in Finance leadership roles at J&J. He was
most recently CFO for IT Shared Services. Jay also held various leadership positions in J&J’s Medical Devices & Diagnostics
Group of Companies. Prior to joining J&J, Jay worked for Chevron Corporation and Rockwell International. He currently serves as President of

Susan Chung
Head of Global Strategy, Allstate Investments
Susan directs the Global Strategy effort leading the senior management group in dialog on portfolio allocation and positioning
of ex-US investments. In this position, she guides the Sovereign Research effort and is Head the London Office. Previous to
this, she was Head of Private Research and Portfolio Management while maintaining oversight of the distressed municipal
portfolio. Susan managed Allstate’s Below Investment Grade Municipal Bond Portfolio where she was a PM from 2001-2006,
rejoining in 2010. She is a former Vice President at Bank of America Real Estate Group. Susan earned a BA in Mathematics and Economics, an
MBA from the University of Chicago, holds a CFA, and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago, and a member of the Chicago Municipal
Analyst Society.
Joseph A. Cruz

Joseph A. Cruz is a member of EY’s International Tax Services practice and is based in Irvine. He is the Orange County
International Tax Market Leader, West Region Operating Model Effectiveness Co- Leader, and West Region Pan-Asian
Professional Network Leader. Joseph advises on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foreign expansion, supply
chain restructuring, and repatriation and deferral of offshore earnings. He assists in audit review of both publicly listed

Foreign Multinational Corporations. His OME experience includes designing, implementing and defending OME structures
for large multinational corporations in a variety of industries. Jivan has led business transformation projects in Asia, Europe
and the Americas including implementation experience working with multidisciplinary project teams as part of the alignment of the business

Kim Drumgo

Lewis H. Ferguson

Lewis H. Ferguson was appointed by the Securities and Exchange Commission to be a member of the Public Company
Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) in January 2011. In April 2013, he was elected Chairman of the International Forum
of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR) following a one-year term as Vice-Chairman. IFIAR is an organization of more than

Michael Fung retired from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in 2011 after 11 years as their Senior Vice President and Chief Financial

Avinash is the Controller for the Global Corporate Bank business within Bank of America’s Global Banking and Markets

Sandeep Gupta

S.K. Gupta

S. K. Gupta has served on a wide range of board of directors, including the Sandia National Laboratories, Bay Area Council
and San Jose Museum of Art. S. K. retired from Lockheed Martin, as the Vice President of Operations for Space Systems,
which manufactures satellites and strategic missiles. He currently volunteers with TiE and is an Executive Advisor to Ascend,
where he is helping lead Pinnacle, The Pan-Asian Corporate Board Member Initiative. He is a recognized expert on leading
change and developing minority leadership, and has been quoted in various national media. In 2010, he was presented the Ellis Island Medal of
Honor. A graduate of the Marine Engineering College in India and the University of Michigan, he also holds a MBA from Seattle University. He
has published papers on leadership, business, and technical subjects.

Winson Heng is a Principal in Deloitte Consulting Federal Government Practice. He has over 25 years of experience in

Joyce Hsu

Joyce began her career with EY in 1986 and joined the Partnership as an International Tax Partner in 1996. She has served
numerous multinational clients in planning their cross-border expansions, mergers and acquisitions, operations, and
dispositions. As an international tax advisor, Joyce has consulted on various tax issues including effective tax rate planning,
transfer pricing, as well as repatriation and treasury related strategies. Joyce joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 to lead the
international tax team for the Firm. During her 6-year tenure at the Investment Bank, she was responsible for the global corporate tax strategy,
restructuring, transfer pricing and repatriation planning for the Firm. Since her retirement from taxation, Joyce has served as a mentor for
the Executive on Campus Program at Baruch College and as a guest lecturer for Fordham University. Joyce is a CPA with a Master Degree in
Taxation and a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Baruch College. As an outdoor enthusiast, Joyce is an avid hiker and a certified scuba diver.
Tina Hwang

Tina Hwang is a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of PNC Capital Markets. She is the regional manager for
the northeast and southeast territories for Derivative Products Group. Tina and her teams in Philadelphia and Charlotte
specialize in risk management needs of PNC Bank’s customers. She has been working in the financial industry for over 25
years and has been with PNC Bank for 16 years. Her teams work collaboratively to identify, structure and execute interest

Kshama Jobanputra is Assistant Vice President and Human Resources Consultant for Bank of America. In this role, she is
responsible for providing HR Generalist support to members of the Global Risk Management team, and acts as the main
point of contact for all HR processes, programs and strategies for more than 100 employees. Kshama is based in Charlotte,
where she served as the Bank of America Asian Leadership Network co chair from 2010 to June 2014. She now serves as
a member of the Bank of America LEAD for Women Charlotte Leadership Council and as the Executive Vice President of Ascend Charlotte.
Kshama has been with the bank since 2005. Prior to this role, she served as a Leadership Development Consultant supporting Bank of America’s
Home Loans Division. Kshama graduated from the University of Waterloo in Ontario Canada, where she majored in History and minored in

Len Jui

Len Jui is a Partner and the Head of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs for KPMG China and the Asia-Pacific representative
on the KPMG Global Regulatory Steering Committee. Prior to joining KPMG, Len was an Associate Chief Accountant in the

Mark L. Keam
Delegate, Virginia’s 35th House District
Mark L. Keam represents the 35th District in the Virginia House of Delegates, which is considered to be the oldest
continuous legislative body in the modern world, with roots dating back to Jamestown in 1619. In November 2009, Mark was
elected to an open seat, thereby becoming the first Asian-born immigrant to serve in the Virginia General Assembly. In 2011
and 2013, voters chose to return Mark to Richmond for additional two-year terms. As a legislator with a strong reputation

Paige has more than 13 years of public accounting experience along with experience in the financial reporting group for
a public reporting Company. She is a member of the firm’s National office and serves as a technical resource on complex

Edward Loh
Editor-in-Chief, Motor Trend
Edward Loh is a proud graduate of the University of Southern California and former Teach for America high school science
teacher who transitioned into automotive journalism in 2001. He started as a freelance photographer for Import Racer!
Magazine in Orange County, California and, in four years, became its Editor-in-Chief and founder of a spin-off, Drifting
Magazine. In 2005, he moved to Road & Track Speed magazine for a short stint before taking over as Editor-in-Chief of the
influential Sport Compact Car. Edward then moved to Motor Trend in the spring of 2007 and was promoted to Executive Editor in 2010. In
November of 2011, he was promoted to Editor-in-Chief, the position he currently holds. In his time with Motor Trend, the title has grown to
encompass more than just the magazine, but a vibrant website, YouTube video channel, and range of mobile apps. Under his direction, Motor
Trend has also grown to be the automotive publishing leader in social media. Edward’s love of cars and automotive culture cuts a wide swath,
covering everything from Miuras to Landcruisers, drifting to rock crawling, and international auto shows to Cars’n’Coffee.
Wade Loo

promoting Federal service to the Asian American community nationwide and his support of Asian American Federal employees. He volunteers

Kevin Negandhi, who joined ESPN in September 2006 as an anchor for ESPNEWS, currently the 9-11 a.m. ET SportsCenter.
At ESPN, he has hosted NFL Live, Baseball Tonight, Outside the Lines, College Football Live, NBA Tonight, and the women’s
NCAA basketball Final Four. Prior to ESPN, Kevin worked as a sports director at WWSB-TV in Sarasota, Fla., from 2004-06.
He also served as the station’s sports anchor/reporter for three years. While working in Florida, he won three Associated
Press awards – “Best Sports Cast” in 2004 and 2005 and “Best Breaking Sports News” in 2005. Prior to that, he was a sports director for
KTVO-TV in Kirksville, Mo. Kevin began his career as a college sports stringer at USA Today in 1995. A native of Phoenixville, Pa., Kevin

Denise is currently an advisor and consultant to several startups in Silicon Valley, and a National Advisor to Ascend. Denise
co-developed and teaches a two day course for Ascend, “Executive Insight for Women”, which is targeted at helping Pan-
Asian women professionals to succeed in their career journeys. She is also an instructor for Ascend’s Executive Insight
SeriesTM (EIS). Denise is a former executive of Cisco Systems. During her 14 years at Cisco, she held a number of Vice President positions in
marketing, operations, engineering services, and IT, in both San Jose, California and Shanghai, China. Denise was a long time executive sponsor
and advocate of Cisco’s diversity initiatives, particularly on behalf of women and Asian employee networks. Prior to Cisco, Denise held senior

Chris Simmons
Former Managing Partner, Washington DC Region, PwC
Chris Simmons was the Managing Partner for PwC for the Washington Metro Region, which included all PwC client-facing
operations in Washington, DC; Northern Virginia (McLean); Baltimore (Maryland) and Richmond (Virginia) from 2007
until 2014. In 2009, Chris became the second African American to be elected to the PwC US Governing Board, which
is a testament to his ability to generate broad support amongst the national partner group. During his tenure as a board
member, Chris served as Chair of the Partner Admission Committee, and as a member of the Management Evaluation and Compensation
Committee. Previously, Chris was a member of PwC’s United States Leadership Team, the Human Capital Leadership Team, and served
as Chief Diversity Officer. Chris also acts as the Chair of the Membership Committee at the Economic Club of Washington and as a Board

Yanlin Sun

Tojo Thatchenkery (Ph.D. Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University) is an internationally
known speaker, consultant, and educator. He is professor and director of the Organization Development and Knowledge
Management program at George Mason University, Arlington, Virginia. He is also president of Avenir Consulting Inc., and
a member of the NTL Institute of Applied Behavioral Science and the Taos Institute. Tojo is the author of over a dozen

Helen Wan

Helen Wan is an author, lawyer, and frequent speaker on advancing diversity and inclusion in corporate America. Her first
novel, THE PARTNER TRACK, the story of a young Asian American woman navigating the politics of power at a prestigious
corporate law firm, was published by Macmillan in September and has already gone back to press. The Wall Street Journal
calls THE PARTNER TRACK “an engaging and suspenseful debut. The pleasures of this novel lie in character and plot. She
dissects the tokens of status in this world in a manner that’s reminiscent of Tom Wolfe.” In addition, Helen has practiced corporate law and media
law for over fifteen years, most recently as Associate General Counsel at the Time Inc. division of Time Warner Inc. Before that, she was an
associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, and the entertainment law firm Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz P.C. Helen is now at work on
her second book, which will again address themes of race, gender, and class, and their impact on the pursuit of personal and professional success.
Janet S. Wong

Janet is a Retired Partner with KPMG. She is a CPA with 30 years of experience in public accounting. Currently, she consults
as an Independent Director. She serves as a National Advisor to Ascend. Additionally, she serves as Vice-Chairman of
Louisiana Tech University’s College of Business Advisory Board and serves on the Boards of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell

Jana serves as the CFO for Commercial Aviation Services (CAS) Customer Support at Boeing. She is responsible for the
leadership of financial planning and reporting, cost management, accounting, estimating and pricing for CAS Customer
Support. Prior to this assignment, she was the Enterprise Services Business Management Director at Boeing Shared Services
Group (SSG). Prior to joining SSG Business Management, Jana was the SSG Director of Accounting Operations. Jana
graduated from the University of Washington earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Farhad Zaman
Partner, PwC
Farhad Zaman is a Deals Partner at PwC New York specializing in Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS)
and also serves as one of the Human Capital leaders. He has over 20 years of experience providing assurance, advisory and
transaction support services in Asia, Australia, Europe and the US. Farhad has served as a National Office partner consulting
on various US GAAP and IFRS matters. He is the lead partner responsible for all controllership projects and relationships
globally for one of PwC’s largest non-audit clients. He has also served as PwC’s Practice Fellow to the International Accounting Standards Board
(IASB) in London, UK. He was one of the primary authors for the IASB’s thirteen Improvements standards in 2003. Farhad holds a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia. A native of Bangladesh, he has also lived in Australia, Canada, India, the Philippines,

Peter Zou

Peter Zou is the Vice President of Corporate Planning and Analysis at Freddie Mac. He has been with the firm since 1995
and has moved through the ranks from an analyst to corporate officer. Currently he is the Chair of the Asian ERG. Peter has
played many critical roles within the firm. He successfully managed the first time implementation and submission of the 2014
Freddie Mac Dodd-Frank Stress Test. He manages all aspects of the corporate forecasting process including Single Family,
Investment and Capital Markets, and Multi-family Segments. He also manages the company’s economic capital allocation and reporting. In his
previous role at Freddie Mac, Peter worked in the Investment & Capital Markets area where he developed investment strategies to manage
