NORTHWEST CHARGERS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION 2023-2024 SEASON On behalf of our players, coaches, and parents, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our advertisers, sponsors, and our home ice arenas (Mount Prospect Ice Arena and Barrington Ice Arena) for their continued support of our hockey programs. The Northwest Chargers Hockey Association is currently in its 41st year of operation as a not-for-profit youth athletic organization. The Northwest Junior Chargers Hockey Association is in its 10th year of operation as a not-forprofit youth athletic organization. Combined, our organizations serve more than 350 youth hockey players from the northwest suburban Chicagoland area. The Northwest Chargers are a Tier II travel ice hockey program beginning with U10 Squirt, U12 Pee Wee, U14 Bantam and U16 and U18 Midget. Our organization is governed by the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI) an affiliate of USA Hockey. Our teams compete in the Central States Developmental Hockey League (CSDHL) and the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL). The Northwest Chargers maintain a reputation as one of the premier youth hockey programs in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago securing 2 International Silver Sticks, 37 State Championships, 10 CSDHL Championships and numerous NIHL Championships. The Northwest Junior Chargers Hockey Association is the premier Tier II travel youth hockey club of the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Our Mite (ages up to 8) hockey teams participate in the Chicago United Hockey League (CUHL) of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). The Junior Chargers have earned 3 league Championships. We also offer programming for beginner skaters as young as 3 years old to learn to skate under the title Future Chargers. Our programs are focused on developing our players’ hockey skills as well as teaching them the value of commitment, hard work, teamwork, and community service; values they can carry with them into adulthood. We hope you enjoy reviewing this book and seeing the photographs of the players and teams you have supported this season. We invite you to come watch the teams in action.
