Story Times Feature Themes and Craft Making

Children ages 3 to 7 are invited to free story times in the
Ballenger Teachers Center of Booth Library. Story times
are planned from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturdays, and each
will have a specific theme. The remaining schedule is as
follows: Oct. 28, Halloween, sponsored by the Student
Reading Council; Nov. 4, Rockin’ with the Rec Club,
sponsored by the EIU Rec Club; Nov. 11, We are
Thankful, sponsored by Kappa Delta Pi;Dec. 2, Winter,
sponsored by the Student Education Association.

Programs will feature stories, crafts and activities. All
children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Thesis Research Workshops Offered

Booth Library faculty members, in cooperation with the Graduate
Student Advisory Council, will offer three “Thesis 101” seminars in
November.

Seminar 1: Researching the Literature with Steve Brantley will be
offered from 7-8 p.m. Nov. 1 and again from 10-11 a.m. Nov. 2.

Seminar 2: Citation Management with Kirstin Duffin will be offered
from 7-8 p.m. Nov. 8 and again from 10-11 a.m. Nov. 9.

Seminar 3: Presenting Your Thesis (to the World) with Ellen
Corrigan will be offered from 7-8 p.m. Nov. 15 and again from 10-11 a.m. Nov. 16.

All sessions will meet in the E-Classroom (4450) at Booth Library except for the Nov. 16 session, which will be
in Witters Conference Room (4440). Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. The registration

2018 exhibit titled Designs of Duty. This event will focus

We are looking for veterans with tattoos related to their
service who are willing to meet for an in-person interview and be photographed for the exhibit. We
will ask that they submit a service photo of themselves, and they must agree to allow these photos,
videos and information to be included in the exhibit and for publicity purposes. Booth Library staff
would appreciate the opportunity to interview veterans who are willing to share their stories and the
inspiration behind their tattoos. Interviews will be scheduled during October and early November. To
