Home-made Food
My name is Rupak. I live in a village
near Kathmandu. There is a field
by my house. Maize, wheat, paddy,
soyabean, and millet grow there.
At the back, there is a shed. There are
cows and buffaloes. In the orchard, there are orange, banana,
plum and guava trees. We do not buy anything from outside. We
eat what grows in the field.
My mother cooks rice. I eat

rice with milk.
I eat beaten rice
with curd. I eat
oranges, bananas,
guavas and plums.
They grow in my garden. I drink a glass of milk in
the morning. I take fruits, roti and curd to school
for tiffin. I share my tiffin with my friends “How
tasty! How sweet!” they say. They don’t want to
eat biscuits and noodles. They want to eat tiffin like mine. We

noodles, biscuits or chips. But some students don’t care about

there are no plastic chairs. No

wooden chairs. Most things we
use are made by my parents. My

clothes by himself.

My school bag was made by my auntie. On the floor of my
