Mdm Nurliyana bt Awalludin
Serving as Clinical Dietitian with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia since 2007.
Her interests are majorly in Weight Management and Gastrointestinal Surgery also expands to the
management of nutritionally-depleted patients, particularly pre- and post-operative nutritional
optimization.
She was the core member of the NSTeam in Hospital Sungai Buloh and currently a member of NSTeam in
Hospital Selayang. Continuously involved with the training of other Dietitians, as well as nurses on the
variety of aspects of Enteral Nutrition and its care.
She was the elected Honorary Secretary of PENSMA from 2011 to 2018 and still continues to support the
activities and development of the society.
Ms Amirozlin binti Amsar
Serving as Clinical Dietitian and HOD of Dietetic & Catering at Hospital Serdang. Graduated from the UKM
in 1998.
Her major interest areas are in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for surgical patient especially in upper
and lower GI and Nutrition Support diet management. She has been involved in Nutrition Support Team
since 2010 and being surgical dietitian since 2007 in Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar, Seremban. Besides than NST,
she also involved in bariatric team while in Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar, Seremban (2010 – 2016) and join ERAS
team in Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru.
She also a committee member of credentialing and privileging for dietitian in Malaysia since 2017 and
Committee member of Biro Latihan dan Kompetensi profesion Dietetik.
Associate Prof. Dr Hazreen Abdul Majid
Associate Prof Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Building, University of
Malaya. Visiting Fellow, Harvard Chan School of Public Health.
Visiting Professor, Universitas of Airlangga, Surabaya.
Completed his dietetic training in Malaysia in 2000. He completed his PhD at King’s College London & also
did his fellowship attachment at Harvard Chan School of Public Health under Professor Walter Willett team.
Dr Hazreen is actively involved with clinical research during his PhD pertaining prebiotics usage in ICU. He
is also running gastrointestinal clinic using the FODMAPs concept for his IBS patients. Dr Hazreen is the
principal investigator for the Malaysian adolescents’ cohort study in Malaysia (MyHeARTs) where they
investigated the cardiovascular risk factors among these adolescents. With support of the Newton Fund
(MRC-ASM), the researchers have successfully completed a metabolite analysis looking at the CVD risk
factors and develop an intervention (feasibility) study (among canteen operators) that potentially can be
used at the secondary school in Malaysia.
He is the co-investigator for dietary intake among breast cancer survivors in Malaysia. He is also still active
in clinical nutrition research in ICU where prebiotics and probiotics are his main interest.
