SUNSET RIDGE CADDIE PROGRAM

Sunset Ridge has had only two caddie

Upon receiving his honorable
discharge from the Navy following

41-year career as Sunset Ridge’s first
caddie manager. Battistello held this
position until his retirement in 1986,
when Greg Kunkel took over the reigns.

YARDS 371 — PAR 4

Measuring at 371 yards, this is one of the
shortest par 4s on the front nine. A solid
tee sheet shot will leave you with a short-
iron approach to a well-bunkered green.
Depending on pin position, second shot
placement is critical, as the green slopes
back to front and left to right.

YARDS 417 — PAR 4

Accuracy is key off the tee on this slight
dogleg-right par 4. The fairway is guarded HOLE 2
by bunkers both left and right in the
landing area. Well-positioned tees shots
will be left with a mid- to short-iron
approach to one of the most challenging
greens on the golf course.

YARDS 383 — PAR 4

Club selection on this tee varies. A driver
will leave you with a short wedge but HOLE 4
requires incredible accuracy. The typical
approach shot to the green is a short iron,
however, placement is very important as
the green has many subtle breaks.

YARDS 355 — PAR 4

Although short, this par 4 can be
challenging. A great tee shot can leave you HOLE 6
with a mild approach, but there is trouble
lurking with a miss either left or right of
the fairway. This green provides a wide
range of pin positons that demand
precision putting.

YARDS 560 — PAR 5

The only par 5 on the front nine is
reachable in two shots depending on the
wind conditions. However, going for it in
two is a test as there is water right and out
of bounds left. A large, well-bunkered
green sloping from back to front requires
an accurate approach for a reasonable
birdie opportunity.
