Andover Kid Care is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care. Please note that there are limited open spots. Participants that were enrolled and waitlisted for the 2023-2024 School year had early enrollment before the registration was opened to the public on April 18th. Registration Process (April 1st on): Links to a fillable PDF will be emailed to those currently enrolled in the Kid Care program (Packets will be posted online on April 16th https://andoverrec.com/kidcare/index.) Players will learn how to pass, shoot, dribble and play together as a team. Parent volunteers will lead a 30 minute practice followed by 30 minutes of instructional game play (15 minute game for ages 3-4). Each participant will receive a t-shirt uniform at the first session and rosters and schedules will be emailed out the week of September 2nd. All games will be played 6 vs. 6, allowing plenty of participation during actual game play. Shin pads and cleats are not required for this program, but are recommended. Parent volunteers and Rec staff will lead a 30 minute practice followed by 30 minutes of instructional game play (week one will be a full 60 minute practice). Each participant will receive a t-shirt uniform at the first session and rosters and schedules will be emailed out the week of September 2nd. Please bring a glove labeled with your child’s name. Ages: 4-7 6 sessions, $100, limit 48 SNL Flag Football League This co-ed recreational flag football league is open to children who wish to learn fundamentals, skills, and enjoyment of football without the contact. This fun, recreational league is open to all levels and will enhance understanding, build on skills, positioning, ball handling, passing & receiving, and running. Children will be placed on teams based on grade. Each team will meet once a week on Saturdays to have a short practice before playing their games. Played on shorter 6 foot hoops, parent volunteers will lead a 30 minute instructional practice followed by a 15 minute instructional game. All sessions will take place on Saturdays at Bancroft School either at 9:00/10:00 am, 11:00am/12:00pm or 1:00/2:00 pm (time will vary week to week). Each team will have one practice and one game per week. All practices are held MondayThursday between 5:00-8:00pm at various school gyms around town (make up practices for cancellations will be held on Fridays). Grades 2-3 practices are 45 minutes long and grades 4-12 practices are 60 minutes long. Grades 2-3 play on shorter 9 foot hoops - all other divisions grades 4- 12 play on regulation 10 foot hoops. All games will be held on Saturdays between 12:00-8:00pm at the Andover High School Field House (see tentative game schedule below). Player evaluation will take place on Saturday, November 16th and Sunday, November 17th. Players only need to attend one session. Coaches will evaluate all players in their division to assist the Recreation Department in better balancing player skill across each team. Players who do not attend will be placed based on years of experience/ability level. Coaches clinic will take place on Saturday, November 23rd including all players. Coaches will meet their players, receive their team equipment bags and uniforms, and have an hour long training session with their teams, led by Jeff Nelson. In addition, team photos will be taken. Bradford Ski Program registration will open in October Ski Bradford, in conjunction with Andover Rec offers a popular six week after-school ski and snowboard program for Andover students in grades 3-8. This program runs early January through mid-February/earlyMarch depending on weather. Details and registration information will be available in the Rec Fall Booklet and online at Andoverrec.com. Late Registration Registrations received after November 10th will include a $25 late fee. Late registrations will be accepted until November 22nd or until all spots have been filled in that division. *Please contact the Recreation Department at 978-623-8340 for registrations after November 22nd* Refunds Prior to November 9th, we will be able to refund your payment minus a 10% administrative fee or provide a credit in full to your Recreation account. Prior to November 16th, we will only be able to provide a credit. From November 16th on, refunds & credits will not be given. (REGISTRATION & POLICIES) Team Selection To achieve balanced teams please answer the registration questions honestly as this is a way to ensure all teams have a balance of players of all abilities. Player evaluation to assist with team placement for participants grades 2-12 will take place on November 16th/17th. Rec does not honor any requests for this program. Players will be notified by email the week of November 18th to let them know what teams they are on and the time & location of their weekly practice. Travel Team *Rec does not run the Andover Boys or Girls Travel Teams* If you plan on trying out for a travel team but want to hold a spot in the Andover Rec League, do not submit payment in full online. Instead, call the Rec Office to let us know that you would like us to save a spot in case your child does NOT make travel. This is the ONLY way you can hold a spot in the Andover Rec League without paying in full. Athletes on travel teams are ineligible to participate in the Andover Rec League and you will be charged the cancellation fee to withdraw if your child makes the travel team and you pay in advance. Prior to November 9th, we will be able to refund your payment minus a 10% administrative fee or provide a credit in full to your Recreation account. Prior to November 16th, we will only be able to provide a credit. From November 16th on, refunds & credits will not be given. WEATHER CANCELLATIONS Courses with no age listed are open to those age 18+. All youth programs are identified by age or grade. The Recreation Division follows the age guidelines posted in the booklet very carefully. The ages and/or grade levels we require usually equate with skills the child has reached physically or socially and are in place to ensure the safety of everyone involved. We ask that you wait your turn and register when the child meets our requirements. STUDENT POLICY Age 60+ Rec courses priced $50 or higher are discounted $5 for senior citizens. Discount will automatically be applied at checkout on any valid program. Events, Pomps Pond Early Bird Special Stickers & one day workshops do not qualify for senior citizen discounts. SENIOR CITIZEN Veterans with proof of military service (DD214) (required) receive 10% discount on programs for anyone in their immediate family, rounded to the nearest dollar. VETERANS DISCOUNT Participants in Rec sponsored activities permit the taking of photos and videos of themselves and their children for publication and use, as Rec deems necessary. PHOTO & VIDEO PERMISSION If you have a credit on file with Rec, you can access it through our online registration system. You can also register directly with Rec. Credits do not expire and cannot be cashed in or returned for refunds. REC CREDITS When applicable, approximate cost of the supplies are listed in the course description. Supply fees are often paid in class directly to the instructor. SUPPLY FEE Participants agree to forever release the Town of Andover from any and all claims from participants in Rec's voluntary programs. A complete liability statement is on file at Rec. ANDOVER REC BRADFORD SKI REFUNDS Registrations received after November 15th are subject to a $25 late fee. Late registrations will be accepted as long as there is space available. No registrations will be accepted after December 6th. ANDOVER REC BRADFORD SKI LATE REGISTRATION 59 Registration & Policy Info All payment plans and account balances must be paid in full at least one week prior to the start of the program. Any programs not fully paid for will result in removal from the program and any payments applied being credited to your MyRec account. Please communicate any extenuating circumstances in writing no less than two weeks prior to the start of the program. PAYMENT PLANS


Participants must pre-register for programs online, over the phone or in person. All programs require pre-registration unless otherwise noted in program description. Registration will close at 12 PM on the business day prior to the start of the program. REGISTRATION All participants (youth and adult) must have a signed and completed Emergency Information Sheet on file in order to participate in Rec programs. Registration over the phone will not be permitted without an emergency sheet on file for the registrant. Online registration requires a Waiver Form be electronically signed, however, an Emergency Information Sheet is still required for all participants regardless of how registration occurs. Emergency Sheets are available online within your MyRec account. REGISTRATION POLICY/ EMERGENCY SHEET Tuition varies for each course and is specified in each course description. Tuition must be paid at the time of registration. We do not prorate. VISA, MasterCard or Discover are accepted. Checks should be made payable to the "Town of Andover." TUITION There is an additional $15 fee per course for non-residents. This fee is waived for most one session workshops and courses priced under $50. NON-RESIDENTS The Town of Andover’s Recreation Division sends out program updates and cancellations via email for programs. It is the participant's responsibility to have a correct and updated email on file with this Division. COMMUNICATION In the event the Town of Andover’s Recreation Division cancels a program altogether, a Rec credit or complete refund will be given to the participant. All refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment. Program locations and times are subject to change. The Town of Andover’s Recreation Division reserves the right to cancel any program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. CANCELLATIONS If you withdraw at least two weeks prior to the program start date, we will issue you a credit equal to the full cost of the program or a refund minus 10% admin fee. No refunds are given for programs priced under $50, or for special events involving ticket purchase when expenses have been incurred on your behalf. If you withdraw at least one week prior to the program start date, we will issue a credit equal to the full cost of the program. Credits can be used towards any Recreation Division program and do not expire. If you withdraw less than one week prior to the start date of the program, or after the program has started, there is no refund or credit issued. Registrations that take place the same week as the start date of the program forfeit any credit opportunities. WITHDRAWAL POLICY In addition, any programs with withdrawal exceptions will be clearly noted in that program's description. Consult the Town of Andover’s Recreation Office. WITHDRAWAL EXCEPTIONS Should a participant need to withdraw from a program due to a serious injury or illness after the withdrawal period has passed, an account credit will be issued so long as a doctor's note is provided. Refunds will not be offered for medical withdrawals if it is past the refund date. MEDICAL WITHDRAWALS 60 Registration & Policy Info Please arrive at the time, place, and date of the program you registered for as per published information. Your name will be on the instructor's list. Late registrants should print their online receipts or save a copy on their phone to show the instructors.
