AIM

When it comes to Maldivian Football, Addu City can be a prominent region or a
major player in its role to develop and execute national level players as well as
promising young players from the region that has been successful. There are a
number of players playing in the National League top clubs that belong to this
region. Our aim is to take the level of football to the next level by utilizing the
available resources in the atoll and introduce as many young talents of footballers to
the nation each and every year.

TIME FRAME

Goadhiyya Futsal Tournament will be
hosted in the month of Ramadan,
because usually most of the people
that are staying away from the city
come to their native islands for
Ramadan. Moreover the city has a
quite crowded atmosphere
throughout the month. This is why
90% of the youth comes to watch and
participate the tournament. The
matches will be scheduled throughout
the month of Ramadan, so as the final
match can be played on the day
before Fitr‐Eid Day.

SECURITY

We like to thank the Maldives Police
Service, Southern Area for their
immense and well organized security
that was provided for our last
tournament. Maldives Police Service
assistance was just one reason for
the success of Betty Crocker
Goadhiyya Futsal Cup 2016 organized
by Goadhiyya.

"The club's ninth tournament
in a row""

The Tournament was early known as “Roadha Futsal Hivvaru”. But
following the year 2013 it has been renamed as “Goadhiyya Futsal
Cup”,With the change of name it has been simply rebranded.
The cash prize for Champion and Runner‐up team increases annually
as a progress to the tournament.

Supporters

The past eight tournaments, no wonder the biggest tournaments held in
Addu City. Not only we look forward to make it the biggest tournament in the
city, but also the biggest Futsal tournament held in Maldives.. Hence, the
tournament will be held at Maradhoo, Venbolhofishi Stadium and we look
forward to see a similar kind of atmosphere as past tournament. We
estimate around 3000 to 4000 supporters will gather each night to watch
the games this year from Addu city only.
