Microsoft Team Meeting STRESS MANAGEMENT On 1 st April 2024, PCA participated in a Stress Management Talk organized by MSOSH. The talk covered a range of topics, including identifying symptoms of stress, understanding the factors that contribute to stress, and exploring effective methods for managing and controlling stress levels. During the talk, participants also engaged in discussions about practical techniques and tips for improving mental well-being in both professional and personal contexts. Additionally, the session emphasized the importance of creating a supportive work environment that fosters mental health awareness and encourages proactive stress management strategies among employees. AESP TRAINING NIOSH Bangi On 3 rd & 4 th April 2024, PCA sent several staff members to attend Authorized Entrant & Standby Person (AESP) training. The two-days training was conducted with the objective of providing participants with knowledge and understanding of the specific hazards and properties related to confined spaces, as well as the procedures for entry. The training also included guidance on appropriate actions to take in case of emergencies, which was a key section covered during the sessions. Assessments were conducted at the end of the training to evaluate the participants' comprehension and readiness.

PCA Nilai WORKING AT HEIGHT TRAINING 0n 3 rd & 4 th April 2024, we organized a Working at Height Training session conducted by external trainer. The training aimed to help participants identify hazards, especially during tasks involving working at height (WAH) and empower them to implement controls to minimize the risk of falls. Additionally, the training emphasized the importance of adherence to safety protocols and regulations related to working at heights. FIRST AID TRAINING PCA Nilai 0n 16th & 17th April 2024, we organized a two-days First Aid Training conducted by St John Ambulance. This comprehensive training program covered essential first aid skills and procedures, ensuring participants were well-equipped to respond effectively to medical emergencies in various situations. The training sessions included hands-on practice, scenario-based simulations, and interactive discussions, providing a thorough understanding of first aid principles and techniques.

INTERMEDIATE SCAFFOLDING TRAINING HRSB , Masjid Tanah, Melaka On 19th – 28th April 2024, PCA has sent two staff members to attend the scaffolding competency course to upgrade their competency to Intermediate Level. This 10 days training program focused on enhancing their skills and knowledge in scaffold erection, inspection, and safety practices, preparing them for more complex tasks and responsibilities in their roles. Q1 2024 SHE COMMITTEE MEETING PCA Nilai On the 18th April 2024, 1 st Quarter 2024 SHE Committee Meeting was held at PCA Factory to review and address various aspects of workplace safety and environmental protection. The meeting commenced with a safety performance update, highlighting improvements and identifying areas needing attention. Overall, the 1 st quarter SHE Committee meeting emphasized a comprehensive approach to health, safety, and environmental matters, encouraging collaboration, awareness, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

DOSH NEGERI SEMBILAN JAMUAN HARI RAYA On 25th April 2024, PCA was invited by DOSH Negeri Sembilan to attend Jamuan Hari Raya, an event celebrating the festive season with colleagues and industry partners. The event provided a platform for networking, fostering relationships, and exchanging insights on industry best practices and regulatory updates in a festive and relaxed atmosphere. The event also created memorable experiences and strengthened professional bonds within the industry. Wisma Perkeso, Seremban MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS TRAINING On 25th & 26th April 2024, PCA conducted internal Mental Health Awareness training for all production workers, supervisors, and team leaders. The training aimed to raise awareness about mental health issues, provide strategies for managing stress, and promote a supportive work environment. The training sessions included interactive open discussions, and useful tips to help everyone deal with stress and other mental health problems better. It also talked about how important it is to treat mental health like any other health issue and make sure everyone feels good at work. PCA Nilai

HSE MOMENT HSE MOMENT DID YOU KNOW ANY LIFTING OR HOISTING TASK CAN HAVE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES? DID YOU KNOW HEAT STROKE - RECOGNIZING THE SIGNS AND KNOWING HOW TO RESPOND CAN SAVE LIVES. High Body Temperature: A core body temperature of 104⁰F (40⁰C) or higher is a primary indicator of heat stroke. Altered Mental State or Behavior: Confusion, agitation, slurred speech, irritability, delirium, seizures and coma can all signify heat stroke. Racing Heart Rate: The heart rate may significantly increase because heat stress places a tremendous burden on the heart to help cool the body down. Nausea and Vomiting: A person may feel sick or vomit. Flushed Skin: The skin may turn red as the body temperature increases. Rapid Breathing: Breathing may become rapid and shallow. ▪ Never stand or walk under suspended load, whether it is moving or stationary. ▪ Never permit an unauthorized person to operate a crane or give the signals. ▪ Use only inspected and certified equipment for lifting and hoisting. ▪ Maintain clear continuous communications with everyone involved in the task. ▪ Operator must obey a stop signal regardless of who gives it.
