2022 Q1 CBRE-L3 TOWN HALL

CBRE has conducted an engagement session
with all their L3s virtually via Microsoft Teams
platform on 7th April 2022.
This engagement session not only focusing on
HSSE, but also involving other functions as
well whereby new procedures and guidelines
have been shared to all the contractors.
During the session, a refresher on Working at
Height (WAH) requirement as well as the
implementation of WAH assurance plan has
been briefed.
At the end of the session, it was indeed a good
and interactive session whereby all L3
contractors were able to raise their concern &
challenges faced and all of us were able to
share the ideas to ensure we understand the
requirement to be adhered during performing
our task safely at site.

OFFICE AUDIT BY MEINHARDT

On 6th April 2022, Meinhardt HSSE Delivering Engineering Solution Globally
representative, Mr Vinothan Marathan has
conducted HSSE Management System
and Shell Control Framework Audit for
PCA Group Sdn Bhd.
The audit was held at the F1 meeting room
and also been participated by PCA HSSE
team.
During the audit, all evidence related to
HSE Management System, HSSE Plan
2021 and Shell Control Framework 2021
were reviewed and audited & also sharing
on the experiences.
At the end of the audit session, the audit
was closed with briefing on the audit
results and also recommendations for
continuous improvement in order to
comply with the HSSE requirement.

LFI SHARING

PCA team has conducted LFI sharing related to Fall
From Height incident which was happened previously
as part of the communication sharing.
The LFI sharing covers both site team and office staff
whereby the purpose of the LFI sharing is to share on
details of incident, roots causes and lesson can take &
learnt from the incident.
End of the LFI sharing session, all participants are
expected and able to understand the requirement of
the working at height requirement and enhance the
awareness while performing working at height activity.

BOOTS ON THE GROUND BY TOP MANAGEMENT

Boots On The Ground is a program which require top management to engage with site staff
and frontliners at site personally. This program is to identify the problems faced by
frontliners at the site so that the top management can make decisions promptly to improve
the safety and quality of the existing safe work system.
For this month, Mr Tee Kok Wong as PCA Executive Director has visited SH R&R
Seremban North Bound for the EV HPC program.
He had taking the opportunity to have a brainstorm session with the frontliners in sharing
the HSSE matters so that the works carried out will be completed safely.

HSSE AUDIT & ACTIVITY AT SITE

Series of site HSSE audit and activity such as blueboard gamification has been planned
and organized by client as well as internal team to ensure that the project is carried out on
the site in accordance with all the requirements set by the client for both under Meinhardt
and CBRE program.
During the audit, all latest information have been shared to the site team as to ensure they
are equipped with the knowledge and information.

FRANKLIN FUELING SYSTEM (FFS) TRAINING

On 27th and 28th April 2022, FFS Pro Training was conducted via Microsoft Teams
platform by FFS trainer, Mr. Riesto Karono. This training session has been participated
by PCA team as well other participants which aim as a competency in managing
program related to fuel system. The topic covered during this 2 day training is including
UPP pipe installation, FE Petro and accessories and assessment has been conducted
at the end of each training day to ensure better understanding.

QUARTERLY HSSE COMMITTEE MEETING

In compliance with the
Occupational Safety and Health
(Safety & Health Committee)
Regulations 1996, a Quarterly
HSSE Committee Meeting for Q1
2022 was held on 29th April 2022.
The meeting which has been
chaired Mr. Periannan A/L
Ramasamy and discussed on
HSSE matters, plans and
proposals to establish a safety and
healthy working condition at the
place of work including review
performance of 2021 and 1st
quarter of 2022.
All committee members actively
took part in the meeting as to
enhance HSE performance .

ISO DOCUMENTATION AND IMPLEMENTATION TRAINING

On 15th and 20th April 2022, PCA Quality

Department has organized the ISO

Documentation and Implementation

Training which covers ISO9001:2015

Quality Management System (QMS),

ISO14001:2015 Environmental

Management System (EMS) and

ISO45001:2018 Occupational Health &

Safety Management System (OHSMS).

The objectives of this training are to

educate team on how their specific

duties tie into your management system

and how their solid understanding of

their responsibilities and their

competency in performing their assigned

duties play a critical role in the quality of

your company's deliverable.

PCA CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) ACTIVITY

Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) refers to strategies that
companies put into action as part
of corporate governance that are
designed to ensure the company’s
operations are ethical and
beneficial for society.
For the first CSR activity year
2022, a visit to Pertubuhan
Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Nanthisar,
Seremban” which is located Taman
Temiang, Seremban was held on
21st of April 2022.
This welfare organization has 20
children’s (3 Male & 17 Female)
age between 1 to 10 years old and
all of them are orphanage and
been raised by the associate.

WORLD OSH DAY 2022

In commemoration of World OSH Day 2022, PCA
team has participated in Majlis Sambutan Hari
Sedunia Bagi Keselamatan dan Kesihatan
Pekerjaan 2022 which was hybridly organized by
NIOSH Malaysia on 28th April 2022.
There are a lot of sharing session prepared by the
organizer for the participants especially sharing
on the current issues related to occupational,
health and safety with this year theme of “Act
together to build a positive safety and health
culture”.

QUALITY VISIT AND AUDIT

SH R&R TAPAH SB – EV HPC PROGRAM

As the EV HPC had executed for construction at Shell R&R Tapah South Bound, the
site visit and audit had been done during the structure installation. QC team had attend
the audit during the fabrication as well to ensure the fabrication drawing and the
welding works is accepted by the welding inspector.

In addition, the overall quality had been check during others signage installed. As we
found some gap had been close for the new execution and completion.

1. Communication between site team, consultant and fabricator team was aligned.
2. The arrangement for delivery material was as planned & the installation was been

handle and arrange proper as to ensure the material and quality installation was in
good.
