BASIC SCAFFOLDING TRAINING

PCA continues to develop competency for
their staff by sending another 2 staff to
attend Basic Scaffolding Safety which was
held from 1st to 8th July 2022 at HRSB
Training Sdn Bhd, Melaka in order to be
able to be DOSH registered scaffolder.
The training is to provide theoretical and
necessary practical training to assemble,
use and disassembled scaffolding
effectively and safely.
With baseline scaffold requirements to
keep workers safe such as better
inspections, training, and erection,
frontline teams can ensure scaffolding
safety and be proactive about building a
safety culture including to comply with
regulatory and client’s requirement.

CBRE PERMIT ISSUER TRAINING

On 7th July 2022, a Permit Issuer Training
under CBRE has been conducted hybridly
and led by En. Mohamad Fazly, CBRE HSSE
Specialist.
PCA has sent few representatives for the
training in order to accredit them to be a
Permit Issuer under Shell program after
completely having 2 years of experience in
this program which is a pre-requirement to be
a Permit Issuer.
End of the session, all Permit Issuer are
expected to be able to understand on the
procedures and standard as per requirement
in issuing permit on site. An assessment has
been done to gauge the understanding of the
training and making them as accredited
Permit Issuer.

GAS DETECTOR OPERATION TRAINING

PCA has organized Gas Detector
Operation Training which was
conducted by Honeywell on 29th July
2022.
This course provides an awareness
of the danger of fire, guidance in the
use of gas detector and how to carry
out the calibration procedure in order
to become Certified Gas Tester as
part of the program requirement. The
content of the Training are as per
below:
 Introduction to Gas
 Combustible Gas Basic Theory
 Importance of Gas Detection
 Gas Alert Microclip XT
 Alarm Set Points
 Calibration

HEAL THE WORLD –RECYCLE COMPETITION

In order to support Earth sustainability, PCA has
organized recycle competition opened to all
employees. The participants need to utilize
materials which can be obtained surrounding
PCA perimeter. The winners are selected based
on their creativity & innovation by using 5R
concepts which is ( Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,
Refuse & Ringgit Malaysia Saving). We have
successfully received 18 participations with
various product for the competition.

MEINHARDT PERMIT HOLDER TRAINING

On 18th July 2022, a Permit Holder
Training has been conducted at Uniwell
Office and led by Mr. Mohd Ghaus
Hashim. PCA has sent representatives
for the training in order to accredit them
to be a Permit Holder under Shell
program after completely undergo
training and provide a necessary
document in this program which is a pre-
requirement to be a Permit Holder.
At the end of the session, all PH are
expected to equip themselves with
relevant knowledge in managing sites
under Shell program in ensuring
program safely executed and completed

CBRE Q2 2022 L3 ENGAGEMENT Delivering Engineering Solution Globally

CBRE has conducted an engagement session
with all their L3s virtually via Microsoft Teams
platform on 14th July 2022. This engagement
session not only focusing on HSSE, but also
involving other functions as well whereby new
procedures and guidelines have been shared to
all the contractors.
During the session, selected L3 need to present
a topic given by CBRE such as Geofence / GPS
Tracker, Worker Welfare, Waste Management,
Management BOTG+, and New Joiner On
Boarding. At the end of the session, it was
indeed a good and interactive session whereby
all L3 contractors were able to raise their
concern & challenges faced and all of us were
able to share the ideas to ensure we understand
the requirement to be adhered during
performing our task safely at site.

PCA BADMINTON INTER DIVISION COMPETITION

On 22nd July 2022, PCA Sports &
Recreation Club resumed its sports
activity which has been stopped for
more than 2 years due to the
pandemic Covid-19. The event was
held at Dreamtel Nilai Sports
Complex. This time, the committee
members has decided to organize
Badminton Inter Division to be the
first sport activity for this year
which aims to encourage employee
on important of healthy lifestyle,
increase spirit level of competition
to the participants and also to
strengthen the mental & emotions
in our daily work challenge.

HSSE VISIT TO SITE

Series of site HSSE audit has been planned and
organized by internal team to ensure that the
project is carried out on the site in accordance
with all the requirements set by the client for
both under Meinhardt and CBRE program.
During the audit, all latest information have been
shared to the site team as to ensure they are
equipped with the knowledge and information
and recommend for any improvement needed.

 To eliminate missing submitted records from suppliers such as outgoing

inspection record, mill certificate etc. (Please see the attached email for the list
of required documents from supplier)

 To enhance the incoming inspection record process and effectiveness as well
as control of external provision of supply goods quality
 To enhance the control of documents for retrieval, use, storage and
preservation.
