MEINHARDT SR MANAGEMENT AUDIT

There was an audit conducted by Meinhardt Sr management at Sh Jalan
Parameswara under PDKR Majestic program on 14th August 2020. The
audit was led by Meinhardt Country Program Manager, Mr. Dinesh
Subramaniam together with the project team as well as PCA management.
The main objectives of the program are to ensure the compliance of works
carried out, recommendation on the area of improvement and discussion
on the challenges faced during the project execution.

PCA – MEINHARDT JOINT HSSE AUDIT

A joint HSSE audit has been conducted at Sh Jalan
Parameswara, Melaka on 4th August 2020 which was led by
Meinhardt Deputy HSSE Manager, Mr Vinothan Marathan and
participated by PCA team. The main focus of the audit are to
determine the compliance of the HSSE requirements and to
recommend an improvement in future specifically on the fuel
system.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE DRILL EXERCISE

An emergency response drill exercise has been conducted at Sh Jalan
Parameswara on 6th August 2020. The main objective of this exercise are to
periodically test, evaluate and continually improve our Emergency
Preparedness and Response Procedure, demonstrate workers’ understanding
regarding emergency preparedness & response procedure and monitor the
effectiveness of emergency response time & communication. At the end of the
session, there was an post mortem session on the overall drill exercise which
was led by Meinhardt HSSE representative, Mr Edwin Soosai who witnessed
the drill exercise.

ISO45001:2018
INTERNAL AUDITOR TRAINING

Prior to the external audit conducted by the certification body, an
ISO45001:2018 Internal Audit training has been conducted to the team of
internal auditor in order to equip them on the new standard requirement
before carry out an internal audit. The team have gained knowledge on new
structure of the standard ISO 45001:2018, context of the organization and
needs expectations of workers and other interested parties, detailed review
and interpretation of the main requirements of ISO 45001 and how to audit
the intent of ISO 45001.

a quarterly workplace
inspection has been carried
out by the PCA Safety &
Health Committee. The
objective of the inspection
are to ascertain if there is
anything prejudicial to the
safety and health of persons
employed, discuss on the
observation of the members
of the committee make during
the inspection of the place of
work and make
recommendations to the
employer on the remedial
measures to be taken on any
matter prejudicial to the
safety and health of persons
at the place of work. This
program is led by PCA factory
SHO, En. Zairudin Zaini.

ISO45001:2018
AWARENESS TRAINING

For this year 2020, PCA is going to migrate the OH&SMS certification from
OHSAS18001:2007 to ISO45001:2018. An awareness training has been
conducted to the all process key person with aim to share on the
requirements of Occupational Health and Safety Management System
(OH&SMS) based on ISO 45001:2018, Context of an Organization and
strategic direction, Risk and Opportunities related to OH&SMS and
Comparison between OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 45001:2018.

To keep our PCA clean, free from pollution and mosquito
breeding which can be harmful to all the employees, an annual
gotong royong activity was held in the premises of PCA Group
Sdn Bhd. All divisions have sent their representatives, including
the management, to jointly carry out this activity. The program
was led by the Deputy General Manager of the Group Human
Resource, Mr. Periannan A / L Ramasamy.
