PERMIT ISSUER (PI) TRAINING

On 21st June 2022, Meinhardt has
conducted Permit Issuer (PI)
training for existing and new PI
which will be managing the Shell
program under Meinhardt for all
high risk activity. This training has
been delivered by Meinhardt HSSE
personnel, Mr. Mohd Ghaus Mohd
Hashim.
End of the session, all PI are
expected to be able to understand
on the procedures and standard as
per requirement in managing site
work. An assessment has been
done to gauge the understanding of
the training and making them as
accredited Permit Issuer.

SITE EMERGENCY RESPONSE DRILL EXERCISE

PCA has initiated an emergency drill exercise Delivering Engineering Solution Globally
in order to periodically test, evaluate and
continually improve our Emergency
Preparedness and Response Procedure.
The drill was conducted at SH Muzlina
Trading on 30th June 2022 with the
participation of site personnel & contractor
For this drill, PCA has carried out medical
type of drill where the scenario is hand cut
during grinding work.
Upon the drill conducted, we are able to
recognize and observed the effectiveness of
emergency response time and
communication of ERP Team and frontliners.
Post- mortem has been conducted to discuss
on the gaps and recommend for future
improvement.

HSSE VISIT TO SITE

Series of site HSSE audit has been
planned and organized by internal team to
ensure that the project is carried out on
the site in accordance with all the
requirements set by the client for both
under Meinhardt and CBRE program.
During the audit, all latest information
have been shared to the site team as to
ensure they are equipped with the
knowledge and information and
recommend for any improvement needed.

LCSC MY WORKING AT HEIGHT TRAINING

As part of the Shell requirement, PCA
was committed to send our
participants to attend Working At
Height (WAH) Training on 9th to 10th
June 2022.
The training was organized by LCSC
and trained by competent &
experienced HSSE from other L3. The
two-days training was conducted
virtually enabled all L3 from different
region attended it as well. The
objective of the training was to ensure
all worker that involving in WAH
activities were well-trained in order for
them to identify hazards especially
during WAH work and enables to put
control to minimize the risk of fall.

BASIC SCAFFOLDING TRAINING

The Basic Scaffolding Safety Training is to
provide theoretical and necessary
practical training to assemble, use and
disassembled scaffolding effectively and
safely.
Thus, PCA has sent a representative to
attend the 8 days training from 3rd June
until 10th June 2022 at HRSB Training Sdn
Bhd, Melaka in order to be able to be
DOSH registered scaffolder.
With baseline scaffold requirements to
keep workers safe such as better
inspections, training, and erection,
frontline teams can ensure scaffolding
safety and be proactive about building a
safety culture including to comply with
client’s requirement..

HEALTH POGRAM – HIKING ACTIVITY

On 18th June 2022, PCA Sports & Recreation
Club resumed its hiking activity which has been
stopped for more than 2 years due to the
pandemic Covid-19.
This time, the committee members has
decided to choose Gunung Tampin Selatan to
be the first hiking activity for this year which
aims to encourage employee on important of
healthy lifestyle, increase level of self-
confidence to the participants and also to
strengthen the mental & emotions in our daily
work challenge.

BASIC OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID TRAINING

In order to furnish our Permit Holder (PH)
with the relevant knowledge and to ensure
the PH is capable managing the site work,
PCA has organized an internal Basic
Occupational First Aid and CPR Training as
part of the requirement to have competent
first aider at site.
The training was delivered by Ms Nora
Izzati bt Md Yusof as our certified Train The
Trainer for Basic Occupational First Aid.
End of this program, all participants are able
to understand how and when to administer
first aid, able to provide appropriate
treatment for the purpose of preserving life
and be able to minimise the consequences
of injury until the arrival of medical
assistance.

Mandatory Hold Point Check list

Tank Sinking was conducted on 29th of June 2021 at SH Kuantan Bypass 1.

The whole procedure was conducted with supervision of senior Project personal,
Meinhardt engineer and QC engineer.

The sequence of the tank sinking was to comply with the hold point check list provided
by Meinhardt and verified by Meinhardt and PCA PIC.

Picture was included with description and summaries to align with Meinhardt hold point
check list to have a better recording of the major event.
