CANNABIS LAW REFORM IN
SPAIN, EUROPE AND THE
WORLD: GREEN LIGHT”

The world is living a fast transformation in all aspects
and pushes humanity to new challenges that need
to be answered with brave and breaking actions and
decisions.

Sometimes what we think is a problem, turns to be
more the solution and that’s our case. We are living
in a world tendency towards a change of strategy
regarding drugs use and its policies. But each
country or continent is facing it with different views
and values, which will make big differences with the
timings each country reaches an effective way to
regulate within laws the consumption, the
distribution, and cultivation of the world’s most-
consumed illegal drug, cannabis.

“CANNABIS, AS THE TOOL
TO ACHIEVE SDG BEFORE
2030”

13TH NOVEMBER 2021 Cannabis sativa. L is a plant with a high profile to help
humanity to achieve the 2030 SDG. If we keep the glasses
FARID GHEHIOUECHE from the 20th century, it might be difficult to find
rationalities in the relationship between climate change
and biodiversity loss with Cannabis sativa L. plant
species, as well as Cannabis-related issues to urban
building, social standards, health care systems, access to
food, water or drugs for any human being on earth.

But with the historical vote by CND last December 2nd,
2020 which changed the scope of control over Cannabis
as a medicine, withdrawn from schedule IV which is for
substances « with no therapeutic values », this will
facilitate research and rehabilitate Cannabis use as a
medicine. At the same time, hempcrete, all CBD products
from hemp, and other related products are gaining more
interest from consumers and many other stakeholders.

In line with the international conventions, it has to be
clear: Out of the medicinal purposes derived from
Cannabis plants, all uses are fully legal because it is
merely and only industrial purposes which are exempted
from International controls.
