INFORMATION GUIDE Organised by: Lakshmibai College, University of Delhi And Indian Colleges Forum (SEED)In Collaboration with Guru Angad Dev Teaching Learning Centre Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachersand Teaching (PMMMNMTT) Ministry of EducationGovt. of India June 26th - July 2 nd 2023 One Week On

Higher Education 4.0 Making Teachers Future Ready Introduction With the breakthrough in sources of energy – from human and animal sources to mechanical sources of energy there have been changes in the economic and social life of people on this planet earth. The first industrial revolution with the introduction steam engine changed the production process in terms of scale and speed. It also needs a relatively higher level of educated people to manage the production and distribution process. It also reduced the drudgery of several economic operations. The speed and scale further changed with the introduction of electricity –the second industrial revolution. The process of education, research, and scale method of delivery of education also changed. The introduction of electronics and communication technology –the third industrial revolution along with changes in production, distribution, and communication placed a high demand on higher education and research and higher educated people. As the processes demanded a higher level of cognitive knowledge and skills. But the research work on the computer–human interface leading breakthroughs in neural networks lead to responding to cognitive skills in the form of Artificial Intelligence. The fourth industrial revolution. This revolution, therefore, has greater implications for education and higher education- higher education 4.0. The World Economic Forum projected some of these implications. But the speed of change is so colossal that many proponents of technology have started drawing cold feet. Yet the process of change does not seem to be stoppable. In this background, it was thought that members of the faculty of higher education should be involved in deliberation and discussion through a Faculty Development Programme. Hence this programme. Organization The Lakshmibai College, Delhi (DU) and the Indian Colleges Forum (SEED) is organizing an Online Faculty Development Programme under the aegis of Guru Angad Dev Teaching Learning Centre (PMMMNMTT) Centre, Delhi University, approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India at the Khalsa College, New Delhi from 26th June 2023 to 2nd July 2023.
