General Information Leeper Park Tennis Center, a facility of the South Bend Ven-

ues Parks & Arts, is located in the heart of downtown South
Bend in historic Leeper Park. With 14 fully-lit tennis courts,
men’s and women’s locker rooms and air conditioned snack bar
and club house, it is one of the best tennis facilities in northern
Indiana. We are easily accessible just off of north Michigan
Street, north of Memorial Hospital and south of the St. Joseph

Regular Season: June 5 through August 25, 2017
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 8:00pm
Weekend open court hours vary based on tournament schedules - please
call in advance for available court times.
We welcome open court time in the off-seasons, however, available
hours will vary based on St. Joseph High School Boys and Girls Tennis
practice and match schedules. Please call in advance for availability.

Facility Rental

Leeper Tennis Center is available to rent for tournaments, tennis matches, tennis
fundraisers, etc. based on availability.
Rental fee is $200 per day plus $12/hour for the building supervisor.
Hourly rates are available on a case by case basis (please call for more infor-
mation on hourly rates). Concession is not available to rent however Leeper
Tennis Center retains the rights to open concession during events.
Please contact the Center Director for more information and availability.

Youth lessons are offered weekly. Participants may sign up for Competition and Match Play
as many weeks as they like; those attending multiple weeks will
be identified and will receive progressive lessons curriculum. Pie Seifert Memorial
Families enrolling two or more children or registering for two or May 20-21
more weeks will receive a 10% discount. Events for the entire family including child/parent divisions. Register
online at usta.com. USTA membership is required to participate in this
Lesson Dates event.

Pee Wee Tennis (ages 3-4)

Youth size racquets and nets are used with foam balls to encourage
success. These lessons focus on developing large motor skills and eye-
hand coordination with games and activities geared to teach beginning
form and technique. Min 5/Max 20
Fee: $40 per week
Little Shots (ages 5-8)
9:15 - 10:00am or 4:00 - 4:45pm (45 minute session)
Age appropriate racquets and nets as well as low compression balls on
smaller courts are used with this age group to encourage rallying and
success! These lessons will focus on developing large motor skills,
increased eye-hand coordination, development of technique, proper form,
and positioning. Min 5/Max 25

USTA Start/Restart Program Beginners (ages 9-12)

Play With Me - Parent/Child Tennis (ages 2-12)

We heard your concerns regarding wait times during lessons and are
pleased to offer this great new program! Parents and their children ages 2
-12 will be able to enjoy tennis focused games and activities during sib-
lings tennis lessons! We will have an instructor available to facilitate the
area and answer questions. All equipment will be provided; parents are
REQUIRED to stay with their children at all times while in the Play
With Me area.
Fee: $3/child drop in fee; $12/week when you register in advance
This program is available during all regularly scheduled youth tennis
lessons.

Private Lessons & Custom Drills

Leeper Tennis Center is now offering private tennis lessons! Pri-
vate lessons are a great way for anyone at any skill level to sharp-
en their skills and improve their game. Our private lessons are
taught by qualified, knowledgeable staff on the courts at Leeper
Tennis Center. Space is limited so call today to schedule your
lesson time!
Fee: 8 years and under – 30 minute session;$25/session

9/10 year olds– 45 minute session; $25/session
11-14 year olds– 60 minute session; $35/session
Adult (15 and up) – 60 minute session; $40/session

Please Note:
Due to safety concerns, we ask that all children not engaged in
tennis lessons please refrain from playing on other courts or
throwing/hitting balls in the viewing area. We appreciate your
cooperation as we strive to keep everyone safe.

Pre-Season Tennis Camp (ages 5-12)

We have three days of fun, games, activities and TENNIS planned for
you!! Kick off the season with our Pre-Season Tennis Camp; this camp
is for kids ages 5-12 of all skill levels. Racquets are available for use
during camp, however participants are encouraged to bring their
own. Campers are required to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and sack
lunch. Camp will run rain or shine - in the event of rain, games, activi-
ties and skill drills will take place in the clubhouse. Camp fee includes
daily drink and snack. Min 8/Max 20
Fee: $90/child
Dates: Tuesday-Thursday; June 13-15
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Drop off time is 8:45-9:00am; pick up time is no later than 3:15pm. A
late fee of $5 for every 5 minutes past 3:15pm will be assessed.

Post-Season Tennis Camp (ages 5-12)

Join us for a fun filled week of tennis instruction, games, activi-
ties and skill level match play! This camp is for all skill levels.
Racquets are available for use during camp, however participants
are encouraged to bring their own. Campers are required to
bring a water bottle, sunscreen and sack lunch. Camp will run
rain or shine - in the event of rain, games and skill drills will
take place in the clubhouse. Camp fee includes daily drink and
snack, camp t-shirt and participation medal. Campers must be
registered by the deadline in order to receive t-shirt.

Fee: $150/child (10% discount per child offered for multiple children
