Introducing Birlacril™ Lumos™ - for whiter whites and vibrant
light shades

Last month we launched a new range of fibre called Birlacril™ Lumos™. The new fibre will provide an enhanced
level of richness in the fabrics and garments made with it. Birlacril™ Lumos™ is a superior white colored fibre that
will make the whites even whiter and improve the intensity of fabrics dyed in lighter or pastel shades.

Mr. Siddhartha Chakraborty, Chief Technology & Research Officer of TAF explains, “Acrylic is known for bright
and vibrant shades – much better than any other fibre – however, when it comes to light and pastel shades like
Baby Pink, Baby Blue, Pastel Yellow, Snow White etc. – the intensity of the colors does not come out as well as
their darker counterparts. With Birlacril™ Lumos™, achieving the vibrancy in lighter shades will be possible as the
intensity of the shades will be highly visible in the fibre.

“Looking at the fashion trends, consumer’s preference towards pastel shades and demand from our customers to
develop a fibre that can support light shade dyeing, we decided to take on this development. Some of our custom-
ers have already done trial of Birlacril™ Lumos™ and they have given highly positive rating to the fibre, therefore
we have started doing commercial production of the fibre.”, adds Mr. Ashwini Chotani, Chief Marketing Officer,
TAF.

Yerad brand launches Amicor™ denim for women

Zhengzhou Yerad – a famous apparel brand has launched a new
range of anti-microbial jeans. The range is developed using
Amicor™ fibre. Established in 1995, Yerad, which is recognized as
"China famous trademark" by Trademark Office SAIC (State
Administration for Industry and Commerce), focuses on
women's pants, covering the whole range of women's categories,
integrating garment design, technical research and development,
production and manufacturing, marketing and brand operation. It
has set up 20 branches throughout China, including Beijing and
Shanghai.
