COVID-19 Situation: Testing Times for All of Us

The COVID-19 pandemic unquestionably presents an era-defining challenge to public health and the global
economy. During this time of unprecedented uncertainty, all of us here at TAF are concerned about the
safety and well-being of our families, colleagues, customers, partners, and the many friends who make up
TAF’s vibrant global family.

It is a tough time for all of us and our first and foremost focus is to safeguard the health of our employees

and minimizing the impact on the orders of our customers. At TAF, we have appointed a task force to deal

with the present situation. Some of the initiatives taken are as follows:

Working Remotely: For a lot of teams at TAF, work can
be conducted remotely, so many of our employees in
the head-office in Bangkok and in the
Saraburi plant are working from home. We
are connected with all of them making full use
of the digital tools and technology available
to us.

On-site safety: Strict checks for symptoms,
disinfection protocols, restricted entry of outside
personnel in the plant and in the residential
complex are in place. We are in regular touch with the
local health authorities and getting regular update on the
situation in Thailand.

Travel & events’ restriction: There is a virtual restriction on all the travel. Meetings are happening via tele
and video-conferencing, thereby maintaining social distancing as much as possible.

Although all of us are facing challenges, together we can remain strong and resilient. On behalf of everyone
at TAF , we hope you and your loved ones are all doing well and in good health. Let’s stay connected. And
above all, stay safe and healthy.

Samui gets the first taste of Durashine™ at “The Stay” resort

"The Stay" resort in Samui has a new set of
outdoor furniture !! Made of Sol-Out's outdoor
fabrics with lagoon color Durashine™ fibre,
these seats and sofas have lit up the pool-side
and beach area of the resort..

Sol-Out’s fabrics were made with 100%
Durashine™ solution dyed acrylic fibre, which is
a high-performance fibre for premium outdoor
products including awnings, sun-umbrellas,
outdoor furniture and marine canvas etc. Fabrics
made with Durashine™ have high resistance to
ultra violet radiation and harsh weather
conditions. Fabrics with Durashine™ don’t lose
color or degrade under extreme weather
conditions.

New application: Multifunctional PyroTex® blankets

A recent study conducted by a certified and independent laboratory confirmed that
the multifunctional head and flame resistant blanket made with 100% PyroTex®
shows high antimicrobial activity. The blanket showed more than 99% anti-
microbial activity after 24 hours of inoculation.

This test has proven the multi-functionality of PyroTex® - inherent fire and heat
resistance and anti-bacterial, without sacrificing on any physical properties, pro-
cessability or dyeing for vibrant colors. The functionality of the safe and skin-
friendly PyroTex® fibre, which is an Oeko-Tex class I certified, is built into the
fibre. There are no chemicals, and/or coatings added to the surface/outside of
the fibre and therefore the performance is locked-in, keeping the textile fresh,
odour free, healthy and comfortable during the entire life-cycle.

PyroTex® blankets have started to gain good demand starting with a number of hos-
pitals in the USA that are looking for compliant products for medical application.
