Production starts in the next generation specialty fibre line

Our new specialty fibre line has become operational. This will increase our production capacity to 130,000
tons per annum with a significant portion dedicated to the production of specialty fibres. The new line will
exclusively produce Specialty or Value Added Products. Mr. Satyaki Ghosh, CEO Thai Acrylic Fibre Co. and
Domestic Textiles says, “As a company we are increasingly focusing on our Value added Product portfolio.
The most important factor is product innovation. Over the years, the demand for specialty fibres has
witnessed a huge growth as our customers and the industry are looking for meaningful innovation. Our new
line will produce the next generation of specialty fibres that have enhanced performance, fusion
functionalities with special emphasis on sustainability in line with the sustainable goals of the Group.”

The new line will also produce Radianza™ - the flagship product of TAF – thereby increasing the production
capacity of the gel-dyed fibre. “Our demand for Radianza™ has seen a major growth in the last couple of
years due to the demand for sustainable and environment friendly products by the consumers and apparel
brands. We are witnessing the growing demand for Radianza™ from not only the traditional flat knitting
segment but now also from circular knitting and woven segment. The new line will produce Radianza™ with
additional features that will help support the requirements of these segments,” adds Mr. Ghosh.

Eco-friendly shade card for Radianza™ fibre launched

We have launched a new set of Radianza™ fibre shade cards. This
new version of our shade cards are lightweight without
compromising on the number of colors and have a unique design that
makes it easy to see the shades and compare with each other.

The biggest change from the previous versions is that the shade cards
are made from recycled paper. In line with the sustainability vision
and mission of our parent group, this is one of the many steps we
have taken to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions. This also
resonates with the product promise of Radianza™ which is about the
low negative impacts on environment over the life cycle of the
product. Radianza™ is a specialty ready-to-use dyed fibre
manufactured using gel dyeing technology, which enables the dyeing
process to happen with limited use of water, energy, chemicals and
highly efficient consumption of dyestuff, due to which very
insignificant amount of unused dye gets discharged into the effluent.

Durashine™ finds new application in ropes for braided furniture

Durashine™ fibre – the premium quality solution dyed
acrylic fibre for high-end outdoors - is now adopted by
Indonesia based PT Parklane Furniture to manufacture
braided furniture items. Pt. Parklane furniture is one of
industry leaders in fine outdoor furniture. They have
created a new range of Outdoor Furniture with creative
mix of high quality all-weather Rope with Durashine™
and powder coated aluminum and steel with hand-
woven craftsmanship creating exquisite-furniture for
Outdoors. This new range can be made to adapt to any
designs; timeless classics to modern fashionable coop as
required. Design varies for dining and deep seating
group, outdoor bar seating group, sun lounger for pool
relaxing to garden furniture.
