Foundation Day Commemorated

We celebrated the Foundation Day of our beloved institution on 9th May with great joy. It was a day
etched with tradition and history and so the celebration began with a pious havan. The event was
graced by Mr. S. M. Gupta, Vice-Chairman and Ms. Sneh Verma, Manager of the school.
In her address, Principal Ms. Reena Rajpal traced the journey of the school appreciating the many
milestones covered as the school progressed in various domains- infrastructure, academic and
administrative processes. She urged the students and teachers to appreciate with pride and
gratitude, the vision and perseverance of all those who contributed to building the institution into
a great school.

Litfest 2017 Celebrated

The Primary, Middle and Senior Wing of our school
celebrated the ENGLISH MEGA LITFEST 2017 throughout
the week from 1st May to 6th May,2017. The corridors
vibrated with literary personalities from the bygone era.
Shakespeare, Sarojini Naidu, Jane Austen, Enid Blyton,
J.K Rowling, Scrooge, the Christmas ghosts could be
seen roaming around reminding us of the beauty and
mesmerizing effect of literature. Multifarious activities
took place in the classroom which saw students participate
with zeal and enthusiasm. Activities like spellathon, guess
the character, scrabble, chinese whisper, tongue twisters,
dramatization and poetry recitation etc awakened the
love for the language. The culmination of Lit Fest was
on 6th May, when the students performed on stage with
elan items like ‘fancy dress of literary characters both in
English and German’, ‘Bring Alive’ brought Enid Blyton and
Annie in conversation, depiction of Christmas Carol. The
cynosure of all eyes was the ‘Ad mad show’ highlighting
consumer awareness and the vibrant radio show which
enhanced the students’ oratorical skills and confidence.
Finally there was a group discussion adjudged by our
Alumni members. The purpose of celebrating Litfest was
to enhance reading habit and make children aware of
our rich literary heritage. In all it was enjoyed by all the
students of classes III TO XI .

To revive the glory of the most ancient Indian language
Sanskrit which is the mother of many European languages,
SANSKRIT UTSAV was also celebrated wherein the
students participated in a myriad of events viz. shloka-

Championing a cause...

SERVICE BEFORE SELF... this has always been our guiding mantra and motto of life.
DLDAV Interact Club was thus installed to conduct community service under the banner
of ROTARY International. Various projects were undertaken to sensitize the masses :

 ‘Donate a library’ project wherein books of previous academic year were collected
and given to the underprivileged. Surplus books were later transported to libraries
of needy schools.

 Each one teach one - a literacy project where children have registered and promised
to educate the unfortunate children in their neighbourhood through a meticulous
plan of action.

IMPARTING HOLISTIC EDUCATION... OUR MISSION AND VISION !

We believe that the goal of Education is to make children sensitive and compassionate citizens. The school has joined hands
with NDTV’s ‘Behtar India’ campaign to motivate children to work for Behtar swasthya-behtar swachhata-behtar vatavaran.
Students have registered themselves on the NDTV Behtar India site and are contributing to the nation by spreading awareness
about Dengue- its menace, causes and prevention. As part of the campaign, our students actively participated in the Behtar India
Students Conclave where they matched their footsteps with the Campaign Ambassador Sushant Singh Rajput.

School is also participating in the ‘Alarm bajne se pehle jaago re’, a Tata Tea campaign in association with Network 18. In this
students are being made aware of the challenges women and girls in India still face and how we can help build a more gender-
sensitive and gender- equitable environment in our country. Gender sensitizing workshops for students of Classes XI & XII were
organized by the school counselor as well.

Enter the world of gaiety and galore in our Nursery Wing
