The Softest Christmas
On Christmas Eve, I looked out of my window and to my amazement, I
saw a kitten! I almost didn’t notice it, because it was all white like a snow. He
was like a little fluffy ball with blue eyes. Also, he even allowed me to pet him!
When we got him home, he immediately started to play with Christmas
toys. And of course, he broke some of them. But on Christmas Day, he went
missing. I was looking for him everywhere, but I didn’t find him. At night I
could not sleep and I heard some weird noises from the living room. I went to
the living room and I saw…Santa! He was holding the kitten and a bag of
presents. He thanked me, and said that it was his plan to let his kitten outside
and go to people’s houses to see if people care for homeless kittens. I was so
surprised and at the same time excited. I didn’t know that Santa had a kitten.
When I told that to my friends, they didn’t believe me and said that it
was just a dream. Well, at least I know it’s true and not a dream. It was very
surprising and special Christmas in my life.

Christmas dog
On Christmas Eve, I looked out of my window and to my
amazement, I saw Santa Claus! He was sitting on the ground. He was
upset. I ran outside and asked what happened... Santa said he is
upset because his deer- Rudolph is lost. He can‘t find him. Santa
can‘t give children their presents, because sled can‘t fly without a
deer.
I have an idea! I can give my dog for Santa! My dog is very nice
and big. His name is Marlo. I am sure he will be good with other
deers. Santa said its briliant idea, but a dog might be to small, but
we can still try it. I woke up my dog and fed him. Marlo was realy
surprised about a midnight snack. He was even more surprised when
he saw a sled with deers and Santa to. Santa Claus put on the belts
for Marlo and started riding. My dog was perfectly matching. It
looked a bit funny.
I went back to bed. In the morning I saw Marlo sleeping on
couch. He was realy tired but happy. Santa gave him a lot of treats.
Christmas was saved.

Christmas Story
That year Christmas Eve was cold and snowy. I was sitting on the floor
next to the warm fireplace. The gentle crackling sounds it made were so
comforting, it made me want to just curl up on the ground and fall asleep in my
comfy, heavy blanket.. It was already dark out, but I could hear people passing
by the street, talking, laughing.
I got up and walked to the window. “No signs of mom yet, I hope she
comes back soon, it’s boring being here all alone...” I muttered to myself. I
looked over to the Christmas tree standing in the corner of the room. Some
decorations were missing. I crouched down and picked up a box with Christmas
tree ornaments. I observed the tree and pondered where would be the best
place to hang the ornaments for a few minutes, before wandering into the
kitchen to the cookie jar. “Might as well, her fault she’s taking so long” I
smiled while crunching down some cookies.
At that moment, I heard knocking on the door. “Must be mom! Finnaly!
But she doesn’t usually knock, maybe she forgot her keys..?”. I rushed to the
door and peeped through the peeping hole. No one was there. “Weird, I
probably just misheard that...”
I marched back to the kitchen to continue eating my cookies, but.. What..
Is that?? On the counter was a small little person happily munching my cookies!
“Who... Who are you??” I asked in confusion. The little man flinched and
turned his head toward me. “Eep!!” It squealed in fear and jumped off the
counter quickly dashing from the room. “Hey, wait up!” I chased after the
mysterious figure. I found it in the living room, trembling behind the
Christmas tree. “Hey, don’t be afraid, I won’t hurt you..! I just want to know,
who are you and what are you doing here?”
The little creature looked around and quietly introduced himself as an
elf. He explained how elfs usually patrol homes on Christmas Eve and check if
the children were good during the year, but he just so happened got caught up
in the sweet, delicious cookie scent and couldn’t resist them! I laughed and
asked the elf if he wants more cookies, but we were interrupted by the sound
of the door unlocking. “Oh, looks like my mom is here! Can I introduce you
two?”. “I’m afraid not, little one. Elfs have rules. Rules say no showing up to
adults! You weren’t supposed to see me either actually... I have to go now,
thank you for the cookies! Merry Christmas!” the elf answered. “O-oh, okay..
Will I see you again..?” I tried asking him, but the door opened and my mom
called my name.
I stood up and went to greet her. She brought presents. “I’m sorry for
being late dear, something came up in work. I got some nice presents as a
compensation though! Come on, let’s get our dinner ready, and after we eat you
can open them” she smiled brightly. I nodded in excitement, looking over at the
Christmas Tree one last time to see the elf gone, and walked to the kitchen
with my mom.

Pixie
Pixie was hurrying home, carrying a beautiful freshly cut Christmas tree. He
had to come home as soon as possible. “The other elves are probably worrying
about him by now” thought Pixie while he was trying to thrust his way through
the forest, while tree branches were brushing and ripping apart his clothes.
“What would Sparkle do if I wouldn’t come home? Would she cry? What
would Perky, Twinkle, Ginger, Winter, Joy, Buddy do? Would they tell mom
that their youngest sibling’s gone missing? Would they even care…?” The little
elf couldn’t get these thoughts out of his head, while going down a hill. All of
that led him to tears. Not long after he tripped over and the beautiful
Christmas tree slipped downhill. Pixie started sobbing loudly and cried out
loud:
- Why me? Why can’t I be like my family? Dad is brave, smart and hard-
working, mom is independent, understanding, Perky is clever, docile and
talented, Twinkle can sing and do anything she wants, Ginger is capable of
everything, Winter is cunning and clever and so on. All ten of my siblings are
talented, and then comes ME! I’m not clever, not capable of anything and
clearly not gifted. Honestly, what is this! Why would Sparkle even notice
someone like me. Pathetic!
Pixie heard steps and noises. Some branches spread and a lot of tiny heads
popped up. With tiny, red noses, Christmas hats and little pointy ears. It was
his family and friends! Everybody was there, and as soon as they saw Pixie,
they started clapping and cheering. Not to hide anything, Pixie was very
confused.
- Anyone can give up, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it
together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s called
strength. – His mother said as she knelt down next to her son. – Pixie you don’t
even know how amazing of a son, brother, friend you are. Often we don’t notice
that all of us are very talented. We should always be ourselves, because we are
amazing. Now stand up, go get that tree, and tell us where were you so long, we
were so worried?
He smiled, stood up and ran to get the tree, other elves came to help him.
And while they were going home, Pixie told everybody how he went all around
the forest trying to find the most beautiful Christmas tree that would shine in
their house.
- I wanted to make you all proud of me. I tried to show you all that that I
really love and care about each and every one of you.
That night, they decorated the tree. It was shining in different colors. It was
astonishing!
- Pixie, you made us proud! – said Sparkle – Love yourself first and
everything will fall into line, because how you love yourself is how you teach
others to love you – she winked.
Both of them joined the other elves, who were now singing and dancing to
a song “Santa is coming to town”. All of them forgot that Santa is coming to
town, and that they should start delivering presents tomorrow. But oh well,
what can’t elves do?!
Here is my story, I combined two topics in my story. One topic is Christmas,
and the other one is self-love. I think everybody should love themselves the
way they are, and not try to hide under a mask that doesn’t fit them. The way
we are, is the way we should be. Also self – love is a problem now. A lot of
people don’t like and curse themselves, if that’s what I can say. And I think we
should just understand that we are cool, and we don’t need other people’s
opinions on us. We are amazing, because we are ourselves.

Perfect Christmas
Judy was hurrying home carrying a beautiful, freshly cut Christmas tree.
When she got home, she decorated the tree with a bunch of colourful toys and
fairy lights. Judy danced to her favourite Christmas songs, made some
delicious gingerbread cookies, glazed and sprinkled them with some cinnamon.
She took a cup of hot chocolate and had one of the best Christmas eves ever.
And even though she lived alone, she was still cheerful.
The stores were still open, so she decided to buy a gift for herself. Judy
took a bus to the biggest and fanciest, most luxurious mall she knows. She
looked through here and there but found nothing she would like, nor she could
afford, besides a bouquet of white roses. She sat on the edge of a huge
fountain and was about to cry. Then something caught her eye. A man, who had
no trace of Christmas joy. He looked like he did not even know what Christmas
was. The man looked at everyone with disgust. Judy understood that he clearly
does not like Christmas. She decided to approach him and say hello, she could
not understand why the man hated Christmas so much.
“Hello sir!” – Judy greeted him.
“Do you need help?” – he asked.
“Well actually, I wanted to wish you Merry Christmas.” – she said as she was
giving him the bouquet of flowers. The man was confused and was trying to
remember if he knew this stranger.
“My name is Judy. You don’t know me, and I don’t know you either, but I
wanted to gift you this bouquet of flowers, because I don’t have anyone else to
give it to” – Judy opened up. He was very surprised to receive a gift from
someone. As if he never received a gift before...
“Thank you Judy” – he said politely, “I am Jason and as glad as I am to get a
gift from you I can not accept it”
“Well why not?” – Judy could not understand it.
“A few years back something horrible happened and it’s all because of
Christmas. I do not want to ever get or give a gift.” – Jason seemed quite down
after saying that. Judy noticed and decided to help him get over it.
“What if I change your mind? If you spend this Christmas with me, I will
convince you that Christmas isn’t that bad” – Judy offered help. He didn’t look
like he wanted to accept her deal, but eventually he did.
They both went skiing and playing in the snow. Judy and Jason ate a lot
of delicious Christmas sweets and even got to see some deer, they really had
the time of their lives. It was late at night when they arrived home. They fell
asleep really quickly.
Then the morning came. Jason and Judy were very tired, but the
happiness from last night stayed, later had a beautiful Christmas morning with
gifts and delicious food. It seemed like the perfect Christmas… Because it
was.

Winston
Will was hurrying home carrying a beautiful freshly cut Christmas tree. He
knew his dogs were waiting patiently. Will has a big heart. He has already
rescued five dogs, and he's not planning to stop.
While he was thinking about home, a strange yellow spot crossed the road.
He noticed that it was a dog. Big and fluffy one, but he didn't have a collar.
Will tried to take the dog with him, but it was not easy. He was carrying a
Christmas tree, and it was snowing heavily, so he decided to go back home,
take some treats, get in the car, and come back.
Lucky for him, the dog was walking along the road, so he quickly stopped the
car. It was tough, but after some time, Will managed to get him into the car.
On the way home, he decided to name him Winston. Will was tired, but he had
to bathe his new dog and decorate the Christmas tree. The only thing he
wanted to do was to drink a cup of tea and watch Christmas movies in the
company of his dogs.
When Will got home, he let his other dogs meet Winston. And while he was
bathing him, someone knocked on the door. He had no idea who it was because
the only people he knows were supposed to be at some kind of Christmas party.
Will was extremely surprised when he saw his best friends standing with
presents in their hands.
Will thought that it was going to be just an ordinary day, despite it being
Christmas eve. It was amazing. His friends helped him decorate the Christmas
tree, and they absolutely loved Winston.
This year Will got a wonderful present - a new pet. And most importantly,
he gave Winston the best present ever, he gave him a new, loving home.

A Snowy n’ Blowy Christmas
Tom was hurrying home carrying a beautiful freshly cut Christmas tree,
when he saw something flashing in the neighbour’s mansion.
Deciding to check what that’s about, he went closer to the door feeling
more and more light headed with each step. When he reached the door, he felt
as if he was going to pass out. He put his hand on the knob, and the feelings
instantly stopped. As he stepped inside, he noticed the lack of the neighbours,
or any form of light. While he was examining the home stepping closer to the
flashing room, he started hearing something, something… When he woke up, he
realised he was sitting on a chair in the flashy room, seeing hundreds of
presents. As he started to realise what just happened, a human looking man
showed up in the doorway :
- Hello, who are you? - asked the man.
- M… my name is T-Tom. - he said scared to nine hells.
- Oh, you’re the neighbour, aren’t you?
- Y-Yes, I am.
- Then what are you doing this late? Shouldn’t you be with your family?
Celebrating Christmas?
- Well, I saw some flashing lights, and ,well, I decided to um check it out
I guess.
- Alright, I’m going to let you go, with no recollection of this event, as
the Christmas secret shall remain as such.
- W-What’s going to happen to me?
- To you? Nothing. You will just appear in front of your door with the
tree and fifteen minutes back, with no flashing lights.
- B-But…
As Tom opened his eyes he was standing in front of his house door,
hearing the children laughing and adults chatting. As he turned to the house he
frowned, seeing the window boarded up.

Christmas with joy
That year Christmas Eve was cold and snowy. The blizzard was blowing
hard outside and trees were swaying sadly. All the animals were hiding behind
the bushes. No one even dared to get outdoors.
When we were driving home after shopping, we saw a lonely grandma, who
was sitting sadly in front of the window and crying. My mother parked the car
near her house. I knocked on the door.
-Good evening, who are you?- grandma asked us.
-Good evening. My name's Gabrielė and this is my mom Jurgita. We saw
You crying? What‘s the matter?
-Oh... I just... I don't know, how I am able to celebrate happy Christmas.
I cannot buy an elegant and shining tree and it's freezing cold to get outdoors.
I'm very lonely, because I don't live with anyone...
-It's okay. We can help You to celebrate the best Xmas. For free.
-Thank You so much for the help,-grandma finally smiled.
So, my mom and I drove nearby to buy a gorgeous green spruce, some
food products, extraordinary decorations for the grandmother's house. We
got back home. Then I baked an apple pie, some colourful biscuits with sugar
glaze, a jar of kisielius, a bowl of soft kūčiukai and mom with dad baked a huge
turkey with potatoes, some healthy snacks and salad. On Christmas morning,
we placed everything in our car and went to grandma's house. While my mother
was placing the dishes on the table, I was decorating a splendid tree. And
after that we were sharing joy with one another on a beautiful Christmas
morning.

An unexpected surprise on Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, I looked out of my window and to my amazement, I
saw a car coming home. My dad, whom I had not seen for a long time, got out
of the car . My dad works in another country and only comes home a few times
a year for a few days. So I was very surprised to see him because my dad said
that he wouldn’t be able to come home during the holidays. Dad made me even
happier when he said that on the New Year, we would all go together to
Norway, where we will celebrate the New Year.
Arriving in Norway on December 31st, we initially stayed in our rented
cottage, which is in the mountains. The view here was incredibly beautiful. All
day our family enjoyed the environment here and skied from the mountains. It
was one of the most memorable events of recent months. When we returned
to the cottage, we sat down at the table, ate, talked, shared our impressions
and thus celebrated the New Year.
After celebrating the New Year, on January 2nd, we returned home. This
year’s winter holidays became one of the best for me because the whole family
was around. And what more is needed for complete happiness? Only the
warmth, love and care that people close to us give.

The best Christmas present
That year Christmas Eve was cold and snowy. I was delivering
presents. I put presents under the tree. I ate my biscuits. Then I
drank the milk. I put the carrots in my pocket for the reindeer. I
had one more present to leave. It was for the family dog.
I heard a happy sniff. The dog had come to say hello. Then he
smelled his present. I was holding it in my hands. The dog ran
straight at me. I dropped a present. I ran around the living
room. But the dog chased me. I ran around the kitchen. But the
dog chased me. I ran upstairs. But the dog chased me. Next I ran
around the bedrooms on my toes. The dog chased me. Then I ran
downstairs. I didn’t have time to go up the chimney. So I opened
the door and ran out. The dog followed. I ran to my sleigh and I sat
down and flew home. Then I noticed that dog was sitting in the back
of the sled. I decided that I will take the dog home and return it to
the owners in the morning.
We came home and I made a sleeping place for the dog and fed
him and he licked my face, it was very cute. After that we went to
bed. I got up early in the morning and took the dog home. The dog's
owners were very happy, I think it was the best present. Everyone
was happy.

My Christmas Story
On Christmas Eve, I looked out of my window and to my amazement, I
saw Christmas tree. The Christmas tree was very beautiful, with a white star
and lots of toys. She smiled and was very
mysterious. I invited a Christmas tree to my
house. The Christmas tree was very happy, she
hugged me and my family. The Christmas tree
said that our family is very good, there is a lot
of love here and she wants to stay with us. It’s a
Miracle!
On Christmas Eve we all baked cookies with ginger and cake with
mushrooms. We have twelve dishes for the Christmas Eve dinner table. The 12
dishes symbolise the months of the year.
The Christmas tree told us about Santa Claus and how his magic works
dwarves, about the elves in Lapland. Together we made the Christmas Toys! It
was very interesting, we smiled a lot. Amazing time!
The next morning, Christmas Day, we said goodbye to the Christmas tree and
agreed to meet next year. The Christmas tree became a member of our family!

Christmas Story
That year Christmas Eve was cold and snowy.
It was a happy Christmas for everybody. Kids were playing outside,
building massive snowmen, playing games, hurling snowballs at each other.
Everyone was happy. Everyone except little Mike...
Little Mike wanted to play outside with other kids in the small suburb.
However, Mike was not among the popular kids, nobody wanted to play with him.
He didn‘t have any friends. Every friendship that he has forged, ended in
tragedy. Every single one.
It‘s truly a sad life for little Mike without friends. However, this was not a
regular Christmas Eve. No... This Christmas Eve was special.
Like always, little Mike spent his Christmas evening with his family. After a
nice Christmas dinner, little Mike went to sleep. Before he went to sleep, he
thought to himself:
“I wish I had a friend to play with, to talk to…”
After a long sleep, he got up from bed and ran straight to the Christmas
tree. He didn’t find any presents under it, But the one thing he didn’t realize, is
that his present was already waiting for him elsewhere.
Little Mike was very sad that he didn’t get any presents, so he decided to
take a walk to the park, to clear his mind. He went to the middle of the park
that was a few blocks away from his neighborhood. There was a massive
Christmas tree with big ornaments. He sat down on a bench and wondered:
“What did I do them? Why am I hated?”
Just as little Mike was about to leave, a new kid in town came up to him and
said: “Hi, do you want to build a snowman with us?” Little Mike accepted his
offer. While building the snowman, they had plenty of time to get to know each
other. The pair became best friends forever quickly. They shared a lot of
interest and had a lot of things in common.
The end.

On Christmas Eve, I looked out the window and, to my surprise, I saw
what a beautiful sky. Stars shone in the distance. And suddenly one star began
to descend rapidly. I saw beautiful reindeer harnessed to a sleigh. Santa Claus
and Snowman sat in the sleigh, and there was a large bag of gifts. They
approached me. I held my breath, what's next? Santa Claus smiled, waved his
hand, and the Snowman took a present from the bag and handed it to me.
Santa Claus, Snowman and Reindeer wished me a Merry Christmas and quickly
disappeared. I stood at the window, looked at the sky and was very happy.

Christmas Story
Finally winter again.
Christmas Eve.
Outside the window is quiet, dark and calm.
That year Christmas was cold and snowy.
At home, the family sleeps sweetly, while I sit and look out the window.
Only suddenly squeaking footsteps through the snow. It was at that time that
the beautiful deer Rudolf appeared through the snowy branches of the trees
and Santa Claus was sitting in the wooden sleds.
I silently watched Santa and Rudolf. The deer turned on circle in the woods,
then another and stopped quietly Santa got out of the sleigh. His cheeks were
red from the cold, but Santa didn‘t feel it. He put a large gift bag under the
Christmas tree and sat on the sled flew off the forest road.
For a long time, I couldn‘t calm down from Santa‘s unexpected arrival. I quickly
woke everyone up and shared all the gifts.
There was a lot of joy for everyone.

The Elf Story
One night, I was walking home when I spotted an elf crying behind some
bushes. It turned out he lost his parents. I took him home and gave him food
as well as new clothes because he was very frozen and his clothes were wet.
We quickly became friends and he said his house was in a magical tree that
spread light and joy to all children. The next day the elf and I went to look
for the magical tree but we didn’t find it. On the third day we went to the
forest again. There we saw a beautiful snow falling on trees. We walked
towards the rainbow. When we came, we saw a beautiful and huge spruce. On
the top of the tree we saw Elf’s parents with his brothers and sisters. When
they saw us they were so happy. And his family gave me three wishes to
fulfill. We hugged and I said goodbye to the Elf and his family. When I was
home I started to miss my Friend.

Donatas was hurrying home carrying a beautiful freshly cut Christmas tree.
It was a cold dark evening. Donatas was going through the forest but he got
lost. He decided to go straight, then he saw a lake. There was a house.
Suddenly he heard strange sounds. He was very frightened. A boy began to
run. After some time he saw his own house. He was relieved. He entered the
house where there was a big surprise. He found a lot of gifts in his room.

Quarantine Christmas
Anna was hurrying home carrying a beautiful freshly cut Christmas
tree. Christmas is today and we are just decorating the tree now. We are
both very sad because we will spend the holidays together and not be able to
go to our families. This is due to pandemics and quarantine. I last saw my
family before the first semester at university, so I miss them so much, but
Anna and I decided to have a good time together, besides, there is still
nothing to lose. So we decorated the house very nicely, prepared amazing
dishes, ordered gifts for each other online and unpacked them together today.
When evening came, I called a video call with my whole family. We all had fun
talking, discussing the gifts we received. Although in the distance, I felt loved
and surrounded by loved ones. Maybe it’s not the worst Christmas ever.
