WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE

Architectural + Interior Design Services

We believe at its core, architecture is not about bricks, mortar, wood, glass and
steel. It’s not really even about plans or aesthetics. Sure, these are all important
but anyone can give you these things.

We believe at its heart, architecture is about people.

We believe architecture has the power to unleash true human potential.
The power to enable people to be their best. The power to inspire people to be
better human beings.

This is a big promise.

We don’t make it alone. Our team includes our clients. It includes everyone who
uses and enjoys the spaces we create. Delivering on the promise requires
dedication, listening closely, working diligently, collaborating relentlessly and
executing brilliantly. It’s no small task; we can only accomplish it together.

When we build an educational facility that people love to be in, then
instructors are inspired and students learn better. When we create a
welcoming caring environment where family engage, then families
strengthen. When we design workplaces that empower people to do their best,
then organizations can thrive and grow in previously unimagined new ways.

We believe great architecture is about more than elevating the environment.
We believe great architecture is about elevating people’s potential.

HQ + RENOVATION

CHALLENGE

Design an intimate setting to display
the client’s products

Workplace Resource is one of the top furniture distributors
in Colorado and serves as the main Herman Miller dealer.
With a larger showroom located on the outskirts of Denver,
the client desired an intimate urban location that could serve
multiple functions. Our firm created a lively, inviting space
where Workplace Resource can display their product while
simultaneously entertaining clients and hosting
industry events.

A custom wall covering based on a filtered image of the
Rockies scales the back wall expanding this small space
and bringing in the beauty of the local landscape. Warm
details like built-in millwork and a working fireplace creates
a homey and welcoming environment. A state-of-the-art
presentation space with stadium-bench seating is equipped
with a cutting-edge audio visual setup for community events.
All of these details combine to beautifully showcase this
iconic furniture in an unexpected way.

DENVER METRO
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE*

CORPORATE OFFICE + RENOVATION

CHALLENGE

Create a city “brand” based
on a global identity

The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce design was
inspired by the global identity of the very city it represents.
With the City of Denver as their muse, the designers
created a space that juxtaposes natural materials with
modern innovations.

Beetle-kill walls adorned with innovative office technology
frame the space, honoring local identity while anchoring
an international presence. The subtle layering of glass,
porcelain, and sandstone create a forward-thinking sense
of discovery with a subtle nod to a pioneering past.

The facility successfully supports the Chamber staff in
its activities to welcome visiting dignitaries and potential
corporations looking to expand to Denver.

JEPPESEN RAMPART*

CORPORATE OFFICE + RENOVATION

CHALLENGE

Design an efficient, mobile work
environment with an accelerated
completion schedule

The final design of this space creates an efficient, mobile
work environment where focused and collaborative work
zones are interfaced by comfort zones to connect people
and provide opportunities for collective inspiration. The
primary challenges of this office project were to address the
cultural paradigm shift presented by a multi-generational
workforce, in an eight week construction schedule. By
minimizing individual work space size, it provided the
opportunity to incorporate a variety of state-of-the-art
teaming areas. Color, pattern, light, and detail are used
with greater intensity at the floors, walls and ceilings of the
circulation links. The quiet focused individual work zones
are defined by intersecting forms of color and a variety of
materials. Comfort spaces, including the cafe, library, and
“C” bench, provide options for different generational work
styles. Natural daylight envelops and permeates the entire
space as it passes through layers of glass and translucent
resin panels. The success of this project is gauged by an
efficient, motivating and inspired work environment.

LEPRINO FOOD
HEADQUARTERS*

MASTER PLAN + TENANT IMPROVEMENT

CHALLENGE

Design an implementation plan that
accommodates the client’s growing
workforce

Leprino is a Denver-based international food company,
whose headquarters sits on the same corner where the
original family owned grocery store once stood. The
task was to accommodate the growing workforce, while
infusing their history and innovative culture. The project
consisted of a full master planning exercise, beginning by
programming user groups and culminating in a phased
implementation plan.

Individual workstation footprints were reduced, creating more
shared spaces, such as team project rooms, lounges and a
café for better collaboration. Lowered workstation panels
along with glass walls created more avenues for natural light.
The result is a vibrant, graphically branded space, which
promotes the organization’s values and mission.

prominent gesture in the space and symbolic of the
importance of everyone “coming to the table” to
collectively cultivate ideas. Keeping in mind form as well as

CORPORATE OFFICE + RENOVATION

CHALLENGE

Design a vibrant, active, community
oriented space that is attractive to
both current and potential employees

US Engineering Company (USEC) is one of the top
designer and manufacturers of mechanical systems in
the United States. Our firm, along with the USEC senior
leadership team, worked together to transform their
new office into an open, bright energetic, environment
reflecting their corporate culture. A culture which focuses
on their most valuable asset: their employees.

A vibrant, active community space where guests, new
recruits and employees can grab a cup of coffee and
have a casual conversation is what defines the new US
Engineering’s main entrance. Silver spiral ductwork
designed and fabricated by USEC are exposed and carefully
coordinated with the architecture to serve as a design focal
point as well as provide air flow. To support their extensive
use of BIM software, large display screens are located

LIBERTY GLOBAL*

CORPORATE OFFICE + TENANT IMPROVEMENT

CHALLENGE

Design a space that speaks to a
multi-generational workforce

This client’s vision was to connect people to the digital
world, enabling them to discover its endless possibilities.
They are a leading international cable company that
covers Europe and Latin America providing television,
broadband Internet, and telephony. The strategic move to
Lower Downtown Denver allowed Liberty Global to attract
and retain a more urban demographic of workers.

The design reflects a timeless, sophisticated and tailored
headquarters that speaks to a multi-generational
workforce. The Triangle Building floor plate had two 45°
corners and a 90° corner, which became a challenge for
planning. The open corner at each floor was allocated
for common use. An inter-connecting stair was central to
communication, linking the destinations of the café on the

HEADQUARTER RENOVATION

CHALLENGE

Uphold the client’s brand,
while designing a fresh,
outward-looking space

Bucking conventional law firm design, this Western
Region law firm’s 190,000 sq ft headquarters remodel
deliberately focused on the power of craft and the
depth of the human element. With the decision to
completely gut eight full floors, the firm launched a new
design initiative that fuses modern artistry with a high-
performance re-stack as a strategy to advance itself
beyond its competitors. The human-centered design
balances state-of-the-art law firm technology with
warmth, natural materials and abundant personality.
In doing so, the design makes the statement that
personality is power and individuality is authenticity –
two influential differentiators among its competition.

A five-year process from start to finish, this fresh
outward-looking space challenges the well-preserved
law firm mold. It provides a vivid and authentic work
environment that taps into the collective hearts of its
attorneys, clients and the community.

CHALLENGE

Design a welcoming banking
environment for a multi-generational
client base

Showcasing the rooted foundation and progressive nature
of the business through an unpretentious, welcoming
environment for their multi-generation client base was
paramount. This balance of tradition and contemporary
thought is woven throughout the corporate headquarters.
Simply articulated, meticulously crafted weighted volumes
in timeless materials of cherry, maple, and travertine
create texture in elevation, while appearing airy as they
nestle between panes of glass. Environmental stewardship
and employee wellness were fundamental to the design of
this LEED certified facility. Large expansive glass perimeter
offices provide light and view transmission to all employees
while allowing acoustic privacy for confidential discussions.

Combine the powerful international
brand with the regional Colorado
beauty

WilmerHale wanted to open a Denver branch of their
office with a powerful yet warm presence. The goal for the
design was to incorporate the architectural “branding”
of their New York and Boston offices, but take into
consideration the regional beauty of Colorado.

The Colorado office partners wanted the office space
to feature the expansive outward-looking view to the
mountains. To optimize use and maximize flexibility and
efficiency, a new conference area is centered around the
reception area. Careful detailing and the modern use of
natural materials such as beetle-kill pine, glass, and stone
