The Only permissible response to an inquiry from a student living and/or
attending a high school outside the State of California is to provide
information. Any aspect of the college's programs, including athletics, as
well as any other pertinent information, such as housing, employment
opportunities, financial aid, registration procedures, etc., may be
provided to the prospect.

1. Visit our web page, read the instructions about applying.
2. Click on an application link and be taken to CCC Apply
3. Select the earliest term you will attend when applying. (Example if coming fall,

select Summer Term)
4. Create an Open CCC account EXAMPLE ID# ASC6763
5. Submit an application to our college using your CCC Account ID. BC APPLICATION
6. After you submit your application and reach the confirmation page,

click Continue and then click Activate Your College Account to receive your BC
ID and setup your BC Email.

1) Apply for FASFA at fasfa.ed.gov (BC ID#001118)
2) Have PRIOR YEAR AND CURRENT tax information available
3) Create FSA ID (personal financial aid ID)
4) Select Federal Work Study in your application
5) May qualify for Pell Grant, SEOG;

a) (MAY not cover full tuition and books!!)
6) Have Official Transcripts sent to college

• Must qualify for Financial Federal Aid
• Must create a Jobspeaker account (Phone app available)

HOUSING SERVICES

Click here to complete a Housing Resource Referral form which will allow the Office of Student Life
to contact and assist students inquiring about housing resource services available at Bakersfield
College. Please fill in as much information as possible on the form so our office can best assist you.
Student Housing Services will:
Support

• Support to the students to understand all aspects of living during their career at BC
• Implement a possible 6-month follow-up procedure with each student who utilizes this service.

Educate

• Various educational workshops regarding student housing and adjusting to living on one’s own
• Host workshops for all students on resume writing, managing a check book, opening up a bank

account, expectations and responsibility of being a renter, and many others.

Deliver

• Contact and establish a list of property managements who would agree to offer several rooms,
and apartments for Bakersfield College students to rent, hopefully within a 10 mile radius of
campus.

• A list of available property management, agencies, independent properties, etc.
• A list of the available properties.
