A NOTE FROM THE GALA CO-CHAIRS

To say that we were honored to take on this role, as Co-Chairs of
this extraordinary event, is an understatement. Each year since its
inception just 5 years ago, Night of Wonders has proven to astound
and inspire every guest with the magic of a wish, and we know this
year will be no exception.
Tonight we will grant wishes to children living with a life-threatening
illness or a serious genetic disorder – something so simple and
yet so profound. Your support will ensure a turning point for our
families, creating positive memories from difficult times – when they
learn that dreams really do come true.
The Committee and the Children’s Wish team have dedicated every
effort to ensuring Night of Wonders is a reflection of a wish. As
Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada celebrates granting 25,000
wishes for wish children and their families since its inception, we
are honoured to continue this legacy and share with you what we
already know to be true – that wishes work wonders.

About Children’s Wish Foundation

Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is the largest and only all-
Canadian wish granting charity dedicated to granting wishes to
Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 who are diagnosed
with a life-threatening illness. For more than 30 years, Children’s
Wish has worked tirelessly to grant heartfelt wishes to more than
25,000 children and their families – that’s three wishes each and
every day, all year long!

Our newly expanded reach, which includes children diagnosed with
a serious neurological or genetic illness, means continued strong
wish referral support through our medical community. Wish referrals
continue to increase year over year, and we are proud to maintain
our ‘no waiting list’ policy, thanks to our generous donors.

Now more than ever, we are encouraging Canadians to donate
and support Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. Wishes Work

Sage’s Story

Sage has already been through a lot at only seven years old.
Diagnosed with Stage 3 Wilms kidney cancer at age four, she has
fought the disease twice. Her life has been marked by periods of
bedrest, threatening infections, massive surgeries and months of
difficult radiation and chemotherapy.
But through it all, Sage’s sweet personality has shone through. She
loves unicorns and animals (especially tigers), loves to dance, and
has an awesome sense of humour. Her mom says she is quiet and
shy but if you get on her silly side, she will open right up.
Sage’s battle was shared with her mom, who says they both likely
have post-traumatic stress from the life-changing journey, which
made up the hardest days of their lives, physically, mentally, and
emotionally. Now off treatment, Sage is healing and receiving scans
every three months.
Sage received her wish in November 2017 when she and her mom
set sail for an enchanting Disney Caribbean cruise. Because she
loves princesses, she couldn’t imagine anything cooler than being
on a big boat filled with her favourite characters.

The Okanagan’s Big White Ski Resort awaits! Pack up the family
(and friends) for a seven-night stay at a luxurious ski-in/ski-out
Big White chalet, where you’ll take in a week’s worth of skiing,
boarding and alpine activities. The three-level, 4,200-sq. ft. home
is fully equipped for a ski vacation like no other, including room for
14 guests, a kids’ game room, fully stocked kitchen, five bedrooms,
and four bathrooms.

This package also includes lift tickets and rentals for seven days on
the mountain, as well as seven days of half-day group lessons for
