The wolf pup

It was dawn and our mother
had still not returned me and
my sister were very hungry.
Then a scent caught my sisters
and my nose and I started to
get excited until I realized it
wasn’t my mothers scent. then
at the entrance to the den I
saw something looking in at us
and it was a lion. I started to
jam myself into the back of
the den with my sister and
growled. It started to get
closer and closer, then I
pulled my lips up in a snarl.
Then out of the middle of
nowhere my mother returned
and fought the lion

the fight didn’t take long
before she ran the lion
off both of them were
badly hurt. Then my
mother came up to both
of us gave us a lick on
the top of the head and
then layed down and
didn’t get back up. the
next day she wouldn’t
move and was very cold,
our mother had passed
away so then we had to
do something about food.
so my sister and I went
out of the den in search
of food then something
smelled really good up
ahead so we ran to it and
it wasn’t what we though
it was.

It was some sort of
yellow thing in the
middle of clearing
with some weird
two legged things
sitting next to it.
The on the other
side of the
clearing was some
weird kind of den.
Me and my sister
got drawn closer
to the scent of
meat, then one of
the two legged
creatures said hey
look at those wolf
pups. I went to run
but my sister just
stayed, so I came
back to my sister.

The two legged
things cut some of
the meat of with a
shiny object and tried
to call us over. My
sister immediately
started to go towards
the two leg and I
stayed behind. The
two leg gave her the
meat and she rolled
over on her back to
show the two leg her
belly the two rubbed
her belly and she
decided to stay with
the two leg I was on
my own so we
howled one last time
together then I left
the strange camp and
left my sister behind.

So I was alone and hungry the I
felt something looking at me
my hair started to raise then I
saw a white female wolf much
older than me looking right
into my eyes. I instantly did the
submission stance and she
came up to me and said what's
your name and I replied Beck
she then said follow me so I
did. She led me threw a bunch
of bushes and undergrowth
into the pine wood trees to a
big rock in the middle of a
clearing and it was covered
with burrows leading to dens,
she led me to her den which
had pups in it just a little
younger than me and told me
to stay put and not to move.
She came back with the biggest
wolf I had ever seen he was
completely black and was the
alpha.

He came up to me and I
did the submission stance
again and he said in a
stern voice , you are going
to be apart of our pack
and fortunately for you,
you are still young other
wise we would have
chased you off this my
mate the one who found
you she will be responsible
of taking care of you. Do
everything she tells you an
don't cause any trouble.
We have just brought back
a nice juicy deer you will
have some meat for
tonight and tomorrow you
will meet the pack. Now
he said I want to know
what happened to your
mother, I said she was
killed by a lion defending
me and my sister .

He said I see well what
happened to your sister
then I said standing out of
submission stance she
decided to stay with some
creature on two legs and so
I just left. He then said
alright then you get some
food and rest you have a big
day tomorrow and my
mate’s name is Sam my
name is Fengo. My name is
Beck I replied he then
bowed his head and left the
den Sam followed leaving
me once again in the den
with the pups alone then
she returned with a big
piece of meat and said here
get something to eat, after I
had ate tell my hearts
content I fell asleep
alongside the pups.

The next morning Sam said
all right time to meet the
pack and I said ok and then
we left the den the pups
followed behind the we
went into a clearing and the
out of the dens came
wolves of all sizes and some
were white but they were
mostly gray some were
brown. Then they all looked
at me and came up to me
and started to smell me and
then they introduced
themselves all except one
who was very aggressive
towards me his name is
Duncan.

After a couple weeks went by I started to turn into a young strong wolf and my
coat started to turn dark and almost black Fengo would teach me how to fight
and hunt while some of the other wolves taught me how to swim and to mark
territory and I got along with everyone especially Sam I started to love her as a
mother and she love me as a son. Life was good and then Sam's pups left the den
but I stayed with Sam to keep her company and then one day she told me you
cannot come back into the den I am expecting pups and there will be no more
room. I started to respond when she said in a quivering voice don’t make this
harder than it has to be Beck.

So then I left the den and went to
live in another den with the other
wolves fengo himself had his own
den since he was the alpha I started
to enter the den when I heard a low
growl it was the brown wolf who's
name is Duncan came out of the
den and said this is our den you
don’t belong then fengo came up
behind me and Duncan instantly
went into submission mode with a
low growl. Then fengo said go on
ahead beck I will be in there shortly
after I went into the den I heard
Fengo snarling and Duncan was
whimpering.

Then after a little bit Duncan came in a gave
me look of hatred and then Fengo came in
behind. He came up to me and said we need
to hunt tonight and your going to lead it. Later
that night I was on the trail of a moose if we
got this moose the pack would be well fed.
Then I saw the moose with its head down and
I looked back at Fengo who said now what do
you do. I looked at the other wolves and
whispered flank the sides and front me and
fengo will get the back later that night the
pack was well fed.

Couple months went by then fengo picked out a few wolves if you were picked then you left the
pack and then a few months later I was picked and so was Duncan but unlike Duncan I refused
and then Fengo said leave or I will make you Beck and don’t want to do that and I said this was
the thing I called family and I wont leave it then with a snarl Fengo said yes you will. Then he
leaped at me and I jumped back nipping at his chest he was a lot better at fighting than I was
then I leaped onto his back and bit down hard right on his shoulder he then shook me off and
before I could do anything he had already grabbed ahold of my neck and I started to kick his
belly and I was finally able to kick him off I wobbled back up and he jumped at me and bit I
forearm and I yelped with pain and then before I could do anything he was on top of me
holding me down then he said with a growl get out of here before I kill you Beck.

So I got up and limped of toward the other wolves who picked then
they followed me like I was the alpha and even Duncan followed me
with respect. Then he camp up to me and said lay down you need
some rest and started licking my wounds and he said that was a
brave thing you did but no one has ever beat Fengo in a fight he has
been in so many its like he can see exactly what you do before you
do it but not you he actually got bit no has ever bitten Fengo. A
couple weeks later winter started to settle in and food was scarce we
found an old cave that would fit all of us in it and that became our
new den. Then one morning I woke up to a sound of footsteps and I
looked out of the den and there stood a bull elk big enough to feed
all of us so I went and woke the others. Later that day we had fed
our fill. Then a huge storm came in and filled in the entrance to the
den locking us in it.

a few weeks past and we were finally able to get out of the den we
were all skinny and very hungry we on our way down the hillside when I
smelt something I look back up the hillside and there was a big brown
bear who had woken up from hibernation and was very hungry I
howled run and so then the bear started to chase us I finally got tired of
it and faced the bear he was still charging me then I leaped into the air
and bit it right on the nose it then made a high pitch squeal of pain and
ran off. We then were in search of food and got lucky we were able to
bring down two deer and we all ate our fill. The next couple of weeks
we had found a new den and there was more than plenty of prey.

Later that spring my coat had turned completely black and I honestly
looked a lot like fengo except my eyes were Green his were yellow. I then
was officially the alpha of a new pack and we had even got some more to
join our pack and there were a few females too I had chosen a mate her
name is Hailey she was a white as snow wolf. We eventually had some
pups together and I would not stop seeing them I hardly left there side
since what happened to me at there age. Then after the summer ended
came fall It was me and Duncan my right armed wolfs duty to teach the
pups of the pack to hunt after a few days they had succeeded and it was
time to find ourselves a new home again.

Then I had gotten the idea
why don’t I take back our old
territory Duncan and he said
its got plenty of game and
we know it by heart and I
said well I will challenge
Fengo to a battle who ever
wins will get the territory
and the looser will leave.
Couple weeks later I went
and challenged Fengo he was
still bigger than me but I had
enough experience to fight
him. Later that evening we
watched as Fengos pack left
their newly won territory.

Then I lifted my head up and
howled as loud as I could and
the pack joined in we are
letting any other wolf know
this is our territory now. Later
that night we still howled and
then when we had almost
fallen over from exhaustion we
all went into the dens and fell
asleep.

A couple of months
went by and winter
was setting in, we had
not heard of Fengos
pack for a long time
now I said to Duncan
he said maybe they got
the point that they are
not welcomed here
anymore. Yea but I
miss Sam, we all do
said Duncan but she
passed away before we
took over the territory I
know I said I know she
was the only motherly
figure I had, I know
Duncan said and I'm
sorry she passed.

Months past it was now spring and I was on patrol with Duncan and
Hailey our pups had grown up now Hailey was expecting another
batch. Then I heard a weird noise I stopped and said keep going ill
catch up and then I took off towards the noise it was a whimpering
noise and when I came into view I saw a pup stuck on a ledge it saw
me and instantly stopped moving I went up to where it was grabbed it
by the scruff of its neck and turns out it was a little boy and he said
thank you in submissive mode and then I realized it was now my turn
to do what Fengo had done to me, I then said come with me and so I
brought him back to the pack. And then I found his name is Henry and
he was a little black wolf pup I then started to train him just like fengo
did to me and after a couple months he was a great young wolf and a
great hunter.

A couple years had passed and I was getting older and slower my coat
was starting to get white hair all over it and it would soon be my time
to pass from this world. That’s when I called the pack together and
announce that when I passed Henry would become the new alpha and
a couple days later my mate Hailey died and a couple of more months
spring came and I saw my last spring and so did Duncan we both laid
down in our favorite spot and fell asleep and never woke up.
