MASS COMMUNICATION

Mass communication means to get information to a prodigiously large group of people, like a
whole county, city, state, province, country, continent, or even the whole world. The information
gets out to people by using landmarks, events or places that are global, there are modern day or
ancient landmarks can be traced all the way back to 3000 BC. A personality of a product is the
person who created the product and what other products did they create before and after that one
specific product.

HISTORICAL LANDMARKS

Landmarks are events or places that affected the whole world. In 1844 the first telegraph line
ever was sent by Samuel Morse. It was sent on May 24th from Washington D.C to Baltimore. On
August 10, 1876, the first telephone was created and tested by the one and only, Alexander
Graham Bell. The call was between him in Brantford, Ontario and his assistant in Paris, Ontario.
On December 21, 1937 Disney launches the first animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
This movie was played in theaters all over the world after its nationwide release on February 4,
1938. In 1885 George Eastman invents the first photographic film. Most recently, April 28, 2003,
iTunes came out with their online music store.

DEVELOPMENTS IN GA MASS COMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY

Pinewood Studios has been around for over 80 years and it’s owned by
Pinewood Group Limited. Pinewoods studio’s CEO is Paul Golding. Their first
studio that was ever built was in 1935 in Iver, United Kingdom.

CNN or Cable News Network is an American based news channel owned by Warner Media
News & Sports. Its was founded in 1980 by Ted Turner, in Atlanta, Georgia, as a cable
news channel.

Fox 5 or WAGA-TV, is a Fox owned television station that is licensed to Atlanta, Georgia.
It was founded on March 8, 1949, in Georgia. Its parent organization is Fox Stations Inc
which was founded by Rupert Murdoch and Barry Diller.

GA PERSONALITIES

Alexander Graham Bell did not just create the telephone, he also created the
metal detector. He also created the photophone, hydrofoil, audiometer, HD-4,
and the tetrahedral kite.

George Eastman invented roll film, the Kodak Camera, and
the Kodak Number 1.

Samuel Morse didn’t invent many items. He
only invented the telegraph and morse code.

iPhones Television

Macworld convention which every home you see. About
got them lots of attention. 98% of U.S homes had at least
one television set.
