Children’s Day
India celebrates Children’s Day on November 14th to commemorate the birth anniversary of
the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Prior to Nehru’s death, Children’s
Day was celebrated on November 20th, which was observed as World Children’s Day by the
United Nations.
Nehru believed that children were a nation’s real strength and foundation of society. The
children of today will make the India of tomorrow.
Activity: Children were taken to ‘Rangoli Gardens’ where they learnt about rural living and
also enjoyed the ‘Tonga Ride’.
Sports Day
This day is meant to commemorate the legend and create
awareness on the importance of sports, fitness and health.
Children must take part in sports because it is essential for
their fitness, health and positive overall development.

Flower Activity
Concept: With pretty colours, interesting shapes and lovely fragrance, kids – just like bees are naturally drawn
to flowers. These blooms can also serve as an introduction to the beauty of nature and the first step in a child’s
appreciation of flora and fauna..
By teaching the kids about flowers and how to care for them, the little ones can also learn more about art and
other life lessons along the way.
Activity: Children were asked to bring a flower which they pasted in their drawing book.
