Here are the rules and regulations for all the competitions throughout the English Language Month 2023.

Group Singing
Competition

The competition is open to pupils of Year 1 to 6 of SJK(C) Keat Hwa H.
Participants are free to pick any songs.
The time limit for the presentation is 1 - 5 minutes.
Creativity is highly encouraged. Various movements are also
encouraged. Nevertheless, movements should not exceed and
overwhelm the articulation of the song by the pupils.
Music: Only Minus-one music is allowed with no backup voices. Pupils
may sing without any music (Acapella)
Musical Instrument: Musical instrument is allowed. However, pupils
must sing and perform during the presentation.
Participants must be in school uniform.
The competition will be evaluated by a panel of evaluators and
assessed on following points:

Language Proficiency 45%
Delivery and Presentation 35%
Musical Elements 20%
If an entry is found to be non-compliance with the above Rules and
Regulations, it will be disqualified.
5 winners will be picked from each year group.
The judges’ decision is final. NO APPEAL WILL BE ENTERTAINED.

The competition is open to pupils from Year 1 to 3 of SJK(C) Keat Hwa H.
Each class is allowed to send in the maximum of 5 participants and the
minimum is 1.
The theme of the story should be suitable for the pupils in the primary
school and should not touch on sensitive issues such as races and
religions.
No assistant and other aids are allowed.
Participants must be in school uniform.
The time limit for the presentation is 4 – 5 minutes.
The competition will be evaluated by a panel of evaluators and assessed
on following points:

Content 30%
Language 30%
Creativeness 20%
Presentation 20%
If an entry is found to be non-compliance with the above Rules and
Regulations, it will be disqualified.
5 winners will be picked from each year group.
The judges’ decision is final. NO APPEAL WILL BE ENTERTAINED.
