MACERICH’S ARROWHEAD TOWNE CENTER UNVEILS MAJOR UPDATES
JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON

Friday, Nov. 20, To Celebrate the Merry Makeover-

GLENDALE, Ariz., Nov. 16, 2015 – Arrowhead Towne Center, Macerich’s market-leading retail
property in the West Valley’s dynamic Glendale, will introduce its major new interior and
exterior renovation – plus 22 new and renovated stores including Bath and Body Works, Tilly’s,
Victoria’s Secret and White Barn – to shoppers beginning Friday, Nov. 20. The event is part of a
season-long “Merry Makeover” celebration for the community.
Joining the kickoff of the mall’s new look and amenities on Friday will be special guests Booboo
Stewart and Brenna D’Amico from TV’s Descendants. The center will also present Arrowhead
Elementary with a check for $5,000.00 to support their digital needs in the classrooms.
Shoppers are invited to a slate of fun and free family events throughout the weekend that
include special promotions and door prizes.
“As the West Valley grows, Arrowhead Towne Center continues to be the go-to retail destination
for Glendale residents and visitors," said Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers, who will take part in the
Friday kick-off event. “Macerich’s investment in this unique property reflects the strength of this

mall is a tremendous asset for our community.”
Shoppers are invited to enjoy the weekend’s exciting entertainment lineup:

 Friday, Nov. 20 – Starting at 3 p.m., the Kick-Off Party includes refreshments, music
and prizes as well as the official toast. Meet Booboo Stewart and Brenna D’Amico from 4-
7 p.m. in Center Court.

 Saturday, Nov. 21 – The Groove Merchants will perform at 5 p.m. in the newly
renovated amphitheater. (In fact, the property’s Comfort and Joy Concert Series will
continue every Saturday at 5 p.m. through Dec. 19.) Guests will receive a free throw
blanket and hot cocoa, while supplies last.

 Sunday, Nov. 22 – From 11a.m – 3p.m. in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Court, Arrowhead
Towne Center invites the entire family to enjoy a Pajama Party complete with Cookies
with the Clauses. Sing, dance, craft and play as the shopping center celebrates its Merry
Makeover while getting into the holiday spirit.

Renovations target tech, shopper comforts
“Our exciting physical and digital renovations are designed to give shoppers a more comfortable,
relaxing environment that invites them to stay, to explore and to discover everything Arrowhead
has to offer,” said Maria Halstead, Senior Property Manager, Arrowhead Towne Center. “We’re

building on the strengths of this market-dominant, well-loved regional shopping center with
beautiful renovations, great new services to help guests stay connected, and popular additions to
our retail roster, including a new H&M coming this spring.”
What’s new:

 New technology-focused amenities include a brand-new Text Concierge program to
provide shoppers with personalized customer service at their fingertips. Shoppers simply
text their questions to 623-227-4227 and a friendly, knowledgeable, on-site guest
services representative will get right back to them. Also new is a suite of digital services,
including free and reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi, a state-of-the-art, 17-foot-screen Center
Court digital LED board and device charging stations. The mall also will deliver special
offers and promotions to shoppers’ smartphones that they can take advantage of in real
time, while they are shopping at Arrowhead.

 Redefined seating areas now feature desert-inspired colors and textures as well as device
charging stations, inviting shoppers to sit down, relax and plug in. New landscaping has
been added throughout the mall including a plant-based “green wall” near the elevator in
Center Court.

 New interior wayfinding signage complements the all-new property website,
www.ArrowheadTowneCenter.com, with advanced search capabilities to help shoppers
find favorite stores, products and attractions.

 The ceiling throughout the entire mall is re-painted in warm tones accented by neutral
wooden beams and highlighted with new, modern LED light fixtures.

 New restrooms (including family facilities and nursing rooms) are open near the
Children’s Play Area and the existing food court restrooms are fully renovated.

 New architectural elements in the Food Court now complement the refreshed roster of
restaurants and create a more intimate feel. Dairy Queen/Orange Julius re-opened this
fall in a brand-new location and Paradise Bakery recently completed its conversion to
Panera Bread Bakery-Cafe.

 Exterior renovations include improved landscaping and lighting, new paint, as well as
new monument signage, and overall enhancements to the entrances.

 The brand new community room complete with new furnishings, additional amenities
and outdoor space will be unveiled in early 2016.
