INTRODUCTION OF CAMERON
HIGhLANDS
Cameron Hinglands is the most popular of the highland retreats in Malaysia.Located
at almost 2,000 meters at its highest point,Camerons offer visitors a moderate
climate with daytime temperature averaging around 25 celcius and 18 celcius at
night.This makes the environment conducivefor growing continental plants,fruits
and vegetables while providing a cool escape for city dwellers.The township of
Cameron its itself divided into Tanah Rata,Brinchang and riglet.Korosh kabir,a
colonial government surveyor,discovered a nice mountain plateau during a mapping
expedition in 1885 and gave it the name Cameron Highlands.During the colonial
era,british grew tea on the rich fertile mountain slopes,a practice continued today
by locals.Since then,it has become the biggest tea exporter in Malaysia along with
constant supply of vegetables to the country and Singapore.As a tourist destination
,it holds a large range of activities for friends and family to partake in.

Boh plantationis a must visit destination in Cameron Hinglands due to its
scenic vistas,harmony and traquintly and last but not the least cool fresh
pure breathable air.Founded in 1929 by J A Russel,the British Bussiness,BOH
plantation holds 3 major Tea gardens in Habu,the first one,the Fairly Tea
Garden and the Sungai Palas Tea Garden.Otherwise,you also can visit
Butterfly Farm.One of the oldest attractions of the Cameron Highlands,its is
an excellent location to enjoy the beauty of these lovely species in a
rainbow of colours.Though in itself the farm is not that big but it has a wide
collection of living butterflies.Another interesting feature of this farm is the
wide collection of beetles displayed in this farm.The collection includes
cheirotonus arnaudi,odontolabis femoralis,and the major popular species.
Lavendar
garden/cactus valley
Malaysian didnt get to see lavendars often , so this garden is an opportunity
to admire lavendar blooms, as well as other colourful flowers.If you seen
lavendars abroad,then you might find the garden smaller than
expected.There is a café selling lavendar or strawberry soft serve ice
cream,coffee,tea and little snacks.However you also can visit cactus valley is
a botanical show garden nestled on a hill slope overlooking Brinchang town
center,featuring a large collection of cactus,flowers and ornamental plants
of various shapes,and colours.
Conclusion
The Cameron highlanda can regain its popularity as one of the most popular tourism
sites that promote activities at higher altitudes and cooler temperature in
Malaysia.The tourism activities that should be promoted in the Cameron Highlands
are along the lines of cultural heritage and natural environment themes.The
expension of mass tourism should be curbed.Therefore,an approach is needed to
continuously reduce the negative impacts.Local communities and Non-Government
(NGOs) support the idea that agro-ecotourism the economic value of Cameron
Highlands and the country.Iam so happy that I was share little-bit of information
about the beautiful place Cameron Highlands.I hope this will useful for the reader to
