Principal’s Message

It is a subject of immense pleasure that
KV2Chandimandir is all set to bring out
the second quarterly edition of e-
Vidyalaya Patrika to its students,
teachers and parents. This trend of
getting quarterly e-Vidyalaya Patrika
published is a pace setting activity as no
other KV has done it so far. This could
happen due to the keen interest
exhibited by students and staff in

contributing their writings for its publication.

The exposure to online education today not only empowers pupils
with academic excellence but also equips them with various life skills
to meet the needs of ever-changing technology savvy global society.
The COVID 19 situation has given students an opportunity to introspect
which in turn awakened the minds of students to critical and analytical
thinking.. The school magazine offers a platform for budding talented
writers overflowing with emotions and imagination to showcase their
creativity. As Albert Einstein once said.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is
limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination
embraces the entire world and all there ever will be to know and
understand.”

I congratulate the students who have let loose their imagination to
weave, poems, stories and articles for this edition. I also appreciate the
hands shaping these talented aspiring writers of the future. I am sure
that guidance and encouragement of their mentors will help them
nurture and channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. And
thus the assets of our beloved nation will be shaped into perfect molds.

I compliment the Editorial Board for their efforts in bringing out this
edition of school magazine.

With best wishes

Vice Principal’s Message

I am filled with immense pleasure
on the release of 2nd quarterly
issue of our school e- Vidyalaya
Patrika which showcases the
creative abilities, aspirations and
emotions of not only young
minds but of teachers also.

Our talented students and faculty have put their best
efforts to make this edition quite different from the earlier
one.

Due to this pandemic as students are spending most of
their time at home but it’s indeed plausible that they
utilized this time not only for curricular activities but to do
co- curricular activities as well which is reflected on each
and every page of this e- magazine. It also reflects that our
Vidyalaya has unlocked the storehouse of their creative
genius.

I congratulate all the staff members and students who
worked with zeal and enthusiasm to bring out this edition.

Lots of hidden thoughts/ Got spark Evoked/ 2nd edition of

Pollution

Twinkle, Twinkle little star,
I can't see where you are.
All the smoke in the sky,
Makes me hide and makes me
blind.
There is smoke all around,
As you are in pollution bound.
Gone are the days,
When I was a lovely sight.
The pollution is causing me to fear,
But you are very lovely and dear.
Why man is causing pollution?
Has he forgotten “green
revolution”?
It is high time to wakes up,
Before destruction takes up.
Thank you !

Women Empowerment

Empowering the women to take the important decision for
their personal development is called women's empowerment.
It is to make the women independent in all aspects of life be it
mind, thoughts and making the right decision without the
societal and family restrictions. Empowering women is to bring
equality in the social order in which men and women are both
equals in all areas. For a country to have a bright future,
society and family to flourish, women's empowerment

DAD GOOD THINGS

A DAD is someone who wants I once heard an old man say,
to catch you before you fall Shaping vases out of clay
But instead picks you up, Into subtle forms sublime
brushes you off, "Listen, son, good things take time."
And let's you try again. All my life had thought of this,
A DAD is someone who When a task was lacking bliss,
holds youwhen you cry, When the work seemed awfully tough
scolds you when you break rules, And I thought I'd had enough.
Shines with pride when you So I'd give a little more
succeed, To what sometimes seemed a chore;
And has faith in you, even when And, you know, without a doubt
you fail. Good things always came about.

CORONA VIRUS

Someone has correctly said that “If health is gone everything is
gone”. Health is wealth and nothing is supreme than our health at
the present moment. A healthy person lives more happy and
peaceful life than any rich person having a diseased body.

I am Sidhartha Pradhan studying in class III (C) at KV No-2
Chandimandir. Now I am writing about the present situation about
Corona virus, which is commonly called as COVID-19. It is an
infectious disease which causes illness in the respiratory system in
the humans. It is the new virus that is impacting the whole world
badly. It spreads primarily through contact with the person.

COVID-19 was first identified during Dec-2019 in Wuhan city of
China. In Mar 2020, WHO (World Health Organisation) declared
the COVID -19 cut break a pandemic. In this duration, large
number of deaths across the world due to this virus COVID -19. Till
now no proper drug or vaccine has been developed.

In this duration, I faced more and felt upset about this Corona
Virus. In these durations I missed my school, my friends and my
teachers. Really, I missed my school very much. But on the other
hand I enjoyed these present situations with online classes which
are being conducted by my teachers. Something is better than
nothing. So another way I enjoyed a lot. I am spending more times
with my grandfather and grandmother.

COVID-19 spreads from person to person among those in close
contact within about 2 meters. Some common symptoms are seen
i.e Fever, Dry Cough, muscle pain. Loss of taste and smell and
breathing problem. In my view and opinion is that in this time we
should more careful about our health. Prevention is better than
cure. So we always wash hand regularly with soap or sanitizer.
Avoid unnecessary public places. Maintain a distance of last 6 feet
from someone. Wear proper mask and cover our nose and mouth
properly.

Her hands are the reason I am me ...

Her hands held me gently from the day I took my first breath.

Her hands helped to guide me as I took my first step.

Her hands held me close when the tears would start to fall.

Her hands were quick to show me that she would take care of
it all.

Her hands were there to brush my hair, or straighten a
wayward bow.

Her hands were often there to comfort the hurts that didn't
always show.

Her hands helped hold the stars in place, and encouraged me
to reach.

Her hands would clap and cheer and praise when I captured
them at length.

Her hands would also push me, though not down or in harm's
way.

Her hands would punctuate the words, just do what I say.

Her hands sometimes had to discipline, to help bend this
young tree.

Her hands would shape and mould me into all she knew I
could be.

Her hands are now twisting with age and years of work,

Her hand now needs my gentle touch to rub away the hurt.

Her hands are more beautiful than anything can be.

Her hands are the reason I am me.

THANK YOU

TEACHERS’ DAY

The birth date of the second President of India, Sarvepalli
RadhaKrishanan , 5 September 1888, has been celebrated as Teachers’
Day since 1962. He was a man of many good qualities and a favourite
teacher among students. It was his request that his birthday should be
celebrated as an honourable day for all the teachers in the country. We
celebrate Teacher's Day because teachers have been the architect of the
society and without them no society can walk the path of progression.
Teaching is the most influential job in the world. Teachers are known
to shape the mind of youth and without knowledge no one can exist in
this world. Teacher imparts good value in children and turn them into
responsible citizens. So, almost every country celebrates Teacher's Day.

On this day, teachers and students report to school as usual but the
usual activities and classes are replaced by activities of celebrations ,
thanks and remembrance. In the schools, senior students takes the
responsibility of teaching in order to show their appreciation for the
teachers. Sometimes the students prepare some songs ,act and etc for
the play teachers .

Our parents gave us life and it was the teachers who taught us how to
live it. Teachers play an important role in the life of everyone. Not only
the teachers but our parents also play the role of teacher in our life.
They teaches us how to walk, talk and everything that they can teach.
So we should give respect to both parents as well as teachers.

So we should also need to thanks our teachers for inspiring hope in us
and Igniting our imagination and instilling in us - a love of learning. We
will always be thankful to you for all the hard work and efforts you have
put in, for educating us.

VILLAGE - FREE OF DIRT AND SQUALOR

As entire nation is abuzz with the cleanliness drives and campaigns under the
impetus of ‚Swachh Bharat Abhiyan‛ launched by the Honorable Prime
Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, lets contribute to it by making ourselves
clean first.

My village is in ‘Pauri Garhwal’ district of Uttrakhand. My village is very clean.
All the streets, neighborhood in our village are dirt free. Our village is full of
lush green trees. Earlier our village was not so clean and green. The
government also contributed a lot to improve the village. Earlier our village has
no toilet in every house .Earlier there were no dustbins in our village but now
we will find dustbins everywhere. The people of our village never throw
garbage here and there on the roads. People only put garbage in the dustbins.
There are paved roads and closed drains for the drainage of water in our village.
In our village such arrangements have been made that there is no mud on the
way after rain ,and there is no water logging, which does not have even threat
of the mosquitoes to flourish. The environment of our village is also pure due to
which people here become less ill.

The overall campaign was initiated to create awareness among people.

* Say No To Plastic -: Plastic is the poisonous for our environment .Being non
–biodegradable it doesn’t break down in soil and causes soil pollution. Hence,
need to be disposed off the property. Therefore, we need to cut down the usage
of plastic bags and always disposed them in dustbins.

*Appropriate disposal of Garbage –: Call it laziness but we keep disposing our
garbage at the spot we’re on the streets. We need to keep the street, water
bodies of our surrounding clean. Make it a habit to properly dispose the
garbage into dustbins and also encourage others to do it.
* Hygiene-: Personal hygiene is how you care for your body. This practice
includes bathing, washing your hand, brushing your teeth and more. The
spreading of diseases can be reduced if we maintain hygiene both indoor and
outdoor. This is the reason why our village is dirt free today. This is the step
closer towards a cleaner, and greener India and this will possible when all
citizens must participate in this drive…..

During vacation my family plans a trip every year, it may be
somewhere close by or far at times, but either ways it’s always lots
of fun. Last winter vacation we decided to go to Shimla, Himachal
Pradesh. I was pumped up for this trip as it was very special for me.
Shimla or any place where there is snow was my bucket list
destination.

It is about 100 Kms from where I live so we decided to go there by
car. The car journey was fun; I was able to soak in all the beautiful
sceneries, until the mountain sickness hit me, so I decided to sleep
for a while and when I woke up I could see bits of snow on the
edges of the road. The cold weather wasn’t affecting me much as I
was prepared for it & wore about 4-5 layers of clothing.

We reached there and checked into a hotel that evening we went to
their local market and we had Thukpa for dinner. The next morning
we went further up the mountain, to Kufri. The snow laden
mountains looked so beautiful the scenery was eye pleasing.

We wore special boots to walk on the snow and I had always
wanted to play with the snow since when I was a toddler, and
finally it was happening. We stayed there for an hour and after that
we went on a cable car it was a mini adventure indeed.
I am so glad I visited this place it was so worth it and I’m sure we
will visit the place again as all of us enjoyed it. Every part of the
trip was memorable, the scenic sights, the amazing food, the
people, everything.

BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN

THE WORLD

Mahatma Gandhi famously said, “You should be the change you want to see in the
world.” We must set an example and implement the right kind of changes in order to
make the world a beautiful place. When we want others to follow a good habit and hold
on to it, first of all we ourselves should follow that habit. For example, only when we are
punctual we can teach others on Values of Punctuality. That is how others will accept
the change. If we are not perfect enough to hold on to a change, the person on the
opposite side will not listen to us. A teacher can bring in a good academic score in all
students only when she teaches well. Only when we are brave enough to bring about a
change in what we believe, others will start believing.
The main reason many people hang back to bring about a change is that they fear
negligence. Saying ‘no’ for a change cannot give any positive results. But facing the
changes and taking away the fear can make real wonders in the world. Great performers
of the world did not fear the change but they made the change they wanted in this
world.
Gandhiji set a good example for all of us, he wanted a clean and green India. Instead of
just dreaming he started this campaign by himself. He always kept his Ashrams and
nearby places clean and green without anyone's help. After some days people started
following his ideas over cleanliness. In Oct 2,2014 Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra
Modi launched ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ for the cleanliness of the country which was
based on the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi.
There is one more story related to Mahatma Gandhi in which he proposed that to
change the world we should change ourselves first. There is a story of a woman in India
who was in trouble that her son was eating too much sugar. No matter how much she
scolded him, he continued to satisfy his sweet tooth. Totally frustrated, she decided to
take her son to see his great idol Mahatma Gandhi. She approached the great leader
respectfully and said, Sir, my son eats too much sugar. It is not good for his health.“
Would you please advise him to stop eating sugar?” Gandhi listened to her carefully,
turned and spoke to her son, “Go home and come back in two weeks.” The woman
looked puzzled and wondered why he had not asked his son to stop eating sugar. She
took the boy by the hand and went home. Two weeks later she returned to him, Gandhi
went close to the boy, He looked directly at the boy and said, “Boy, you should stop
eating sugar. It is not good for your health.” The boy nodded and promised he would not
continue this habit any longer. The boy’s mother turned to Gandhi ji and asked, “Why
didn’t you tell him that two weeks ago when I brought him here to see you?” Gandhi ji
smiled, “Mother, two weeks ago I was also having a habit of eating sugar.”
Gandhi ji lived in such integrity that he would not allow himself to give advice unless he
was living by it himself. We should take inspiration from Gandhi ji to make the world
beautiful and adorable.

India got independence in 1947, and after that in the last more than
seventy years various developmental projects had been taken place in the
field of Agriculture, Heavy & Ancillary Industries, Science &

developments were not enough to make our country self reliant as we
have to import a lot of goods and products from various countries of the
world and spend lot of foreign exchange for the same.
This word atmanirbhar bharat means ‚Self Reliant India‛. This slogan
was given by our Hon’ble Prime Minister during the time of pandemic
Coronavirus (COVID-19) for using this time as an opportunity for the
growth & development of our country and making it self-reliant.
When our country become aatmanirbhar or self reliant it will not only
help in the overall growth and development of India but also help in
many ways and some of the positive effects of the same are given under -
Increase in employment – When we the citizens of India take steps
towards making the aatmmanirbhar bharat our Indian companies will
make their start up industries to produce products for the country, it
will generate employment for the masses and help in reducing the
problem of unemployment. this will also help in increasing the per capita
income of the population and their growth.
Reduce Import of products – When our own companies make indigenous
world class quality products for the various industries, the demand of
various products imported from various countries will reduce and help in
saving foreign exchange and thus resulting in increased foreign exchange
reserve of the country.
Increased Growth & Gross Domestic Product (GDP) – When Indian
products make indigenous world class products it will not only cater the
local demand of the country but also create opportunities for generating
demand of Indian products to various countries and resulting in export of
Indian products to various parts of the world. The increased export of
Indian products will bring foreign exchange in India and help in
increasing our foreign exchange reserve.
Like the other side of the coin aatmanirbhar bharat will also have some
negative effects/impacts some of these are given as under
Cont…

In the present scenario were India is part of the world and also
signatories to the various global trade treaties and international
pacts. The aatmanirbhar bharat may result in conflict of interest and
trade with the other countries who are exporting goods to India.

The aatmanirbhar bharat may result in trade wars with some
countries and they may impose restrictions and heavy duties on
Indian products in their countries.
The aatmanirbhar bharat may result in reduced foreign investment in
India and may affect the global standing of our country.
To sum up I am of the view that, as every change has positive and
negative effects like the two sides of a coin, but we have to see the
positive side of the change. The aatmanirbhar bharat may be an
ambition at this juncture, but with the positive and concentrated
efforts / steps towards for achieving the same by government and by
people of our country at large this will become a reality. The said
reality of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, will not only generate employment
for the masses but also results in increased growth, development of
the country and making self-reliant and self sufficient India. To
conclude, we should do our bit and help in achieving the goal/ dream
of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and making India developed prosperous
country of the world and bring prosperity to the people at large.

STUDENT LIFE

A human being goes through different phases in life, starting from his
infancy and till his old age. These phases include teenage, married life,
working-age etc. but out of all these the most important one still remains
‘Student Life’. All that one learns when in this phase stays with them
throughout their life. Our future dreams, wants, and expectations rely
mainly on this one phase. Student life can be seen as a time of
preparations. It is a time of training and learning. As of now, our psyche
resembles clay which is a delicate thing out of which one can plan out
different things. In a similar manner, once our character is shaped in a
particular manner, it can’t be changed effectively in a short time; it’s going
to take a long time if at all one wants to change their personality. And to
ensure that our characters come out stronger and our life more sorted, it is
important that we as students focus and pay attention to what we want for
our future.
Studying is, of course, a huge part of what a student has to do. In fact, the
primary objective of a student would be to learn and to acquire
information from any reliable source that he finds. He should be doing all
his work at the right time and keep up his sense of reliability and accuracy.
He should keep in mind that if he ends up being fruitful in his vocation as
a student and if his character is based on a sound fundamental at the end,
he will have the capacity and the opportunity to shine and stand out in any
circle of life and society and along with that he will be in a better position
to serve the people around him as well as his nation.
But ‘All work and no play make Jack a dull boy’. Thus along with studies,
it is very important for a student to take part in other activities as well. Be
it sports, dance, undertaking an activity outside of the academic sphere.
While academic teachings do provide the student with the knowledge and
basic theoretical information that is required but it takes participation in
extra-curricular activities to learn virtues like team spirit, sportsmanship,
cooperation etc. And to be very frank, in the harsh world more than the
hardcore theoretical knowledge it is going to be the practical learning that
will be used more often.

ONLINE TEACHING –IMPORTANCE AND

BENEFITS

Online teaching is defined as any educational activity that requires a student to
complete some learning or assessment activity via a personal computer and a
connection to a network. This network connection is usually to the Internet.
Why is online teaching important?
The Internet has significantly changed how we communicate with one another
as well as how we access, share and facilitate information. The issue is no longer
one of how to use technology to teach, but one where teachers acknowledge the
way the world is already developing, and understand the significance of online
literacy and the role that collaboration and online engagement plays in student
learning and their future workplace environment.

Software and technology changes very rapidly, and it can be difficult to keep up
with these developments. It is important therefore to focus on understanding
effective pedagogical strategies for online teaching rather than the technology
itself.
Key benefits of teaching online
Increased flexibility of time:

Learning and teaching can occur at times that are more convenient and
productive for both students and teachers. Students can work at their
own pace within a given framework and the online learning and teaching
engagement process can be broken into smaller more frequent portions of
time, with an opportunity for reflection in between.
Increased flexibility of location
Learning and teaching can take place in any location (home, office, while
commuting, coffee shop) and can include students and teachers from
diverse geographical locations
Context
Online education gives learning a new relevance to contemporary society
and professional and industry practice
Information sharing
Online education provides opportunities to access andshare information
more easily and readily. Teachers and students are able to join online
communities of practice based on their area of interest rather than their
geographic location.
Online resources
Online education provides access to a greater depth and breadth of
resources and information
Digital information literacy
Online learning develops digital literacy skills that are increasingly
required in contemporary society and workplace environments

INFLATIONARY THOUGHTS

Wake up to appreciate it, if your perception is true. Then one could
ever ask for the day off, so we can balance the rolling ball on the string,
and I’ll be there at every point on that ball.
The string is short, the ball is wide, billions of dots seeking for a bite.
Bite is on the string, taste is on the mind. The string is not straight but
changes its path with inflationary time.
I’ll get back to you with some of the things that you all said are true.
Our reality is that when I face disappointment from the centric truth,
you have another taste from that bite, and then I’ll be there for you at
that same time.
Without expectation of the same thing, I wrote it down to the last
we’ve thoughts and I knew the value of the inflationary time we’ve left.
And now you can make the same thing, as you know from your
perspective is true.
I’ll be able to get to know you better and better, to make parity in the
situation of the centre of the ball.
And the last one I have left will be the new string for the meaning of
my inflationary thoughts; the ball will start rolling again on the string
of those written inflationary thoughts.

GANESH CHATURTHI

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is a Hindu festival
celebrating the arrival of Lord Ganesha to earth from Kailash Parvat with
his mother Goddess Parvati/ Gauri. The festival is marked with the
installation of Lord Ganesha clay idols privately in homes or publicly on
elaborate Pandals.
The festival ends on the tenth day after start, when the idol of Lord
Ganesha is carried in a public procession with music and group chanting
and then immersed in a nearby body of water such as a River or Sea.
Thereafter the clay idol dissolves and Lord Ganesha is believed to return
to Kailash Parvat to Goddess Parvati & Lord Shiva.
The festival celebrates Lord Ganesha as the ‘God of New Beginnings’ and
the ‘Remover of Obstacles’ as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence
and is observed throughout India, especially in the State of Maharashtra,
Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala.

THE ALTITUDE OF LIFE

Life, what is life??

For us a race, if we don’t run we are left behind. Reality is an illusion.
Even, life is not all roses. It is never truly what it appears to be.

Failure comes in life but we should learn from it and move forward. I
know it is easier said than done, but we need to do it to keep moving
forward. People will always criticize you and you will breakdown, but
remember, only people who ignore the criticism and focus on their
goals rise in life.

Never use ‘but’ for an answer. It only reflects that you are not
confident enough to deal with a situation. Problems will always be
there. People will always be there to pull you back and keep you away
from succeeding and there lies the difference, in the way you deal with
them. Your positive attitude will make you stronger while your
negative attitude will make you weaker. Excellency is not a skill, it is
a positive attitude.

The problem in today’s world is competition fueled with rage. You try
your level best, fail and get depressed. Why depressed? Just show
some guts and move forth. Only you can decide your future and make
it bright, no one else is going to do that for you.

There will be many events in life you have not thought of, which will
change the direction of your life. Never assume that the direction is
wrong, but think you have gained it from your own deeds. Things turn
out best for those people who make the best out of their situation.

You can achieve whatever you want in life, but never get misled. Be
what you want to be in life, not what others want you to be. Always
take things positively in life because you can never have a positive life
with a negative mind.

Don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world, by doing so, you
are insulting yourself. Every person is unique in their own ways.
