Page | 22 4.0 Reflection on the Internship My internship's was a thrilling introduction to the field of design. I soon understood that design is more than just aesthetics; it's also a deliberate, problem-solving approach. My mentors first exposed me to design thinking, placing a strong emphasis on understanding end users' demands. I've discovered that communication is crucial to the design process. In order to understand and see the big picture of the design process, designers must always be proactive in communicating with people from various fields, such as engineering and marketing, as well as understand criticism and comments made during discussions. I got began by making digital prototypes of my concepts using programs like Adobe Illustrator and Shape3Dr. As I heard criticism and improved my work, the iterative aspect of design became clear. It was difficult but incredibly satisfying. One memorable experience was when I presented the team with my design concept. Their frank criticism assisted me in understanding the significance of teamwork and the worth of different viewpoints. The three-month internship has been a priceless learning opportunity. I now have a profound appreciation for the entire design process, from conceptualization to actualization. I've observed how the combination of practical knowledge with design thinking helps me become a more wellrounded designer. My expertise with CNC machines and laser cutting have led me to new opportunities. I currently have highly sought-after technical abilities in the design sector. In addition, I've come to realize how crucial flexibility and accepting obstacles are to growth. I am eager to apply the knowledge and experiences I have gathered as my internship comes to a close to my future efforts. This experience has strengthened my enthusiasm for design and given me the tools I need to have a significant effect on the design and manufacturing industries

Page | 23 5.0 Conclusion As my design internship comes to an end, I feel great gratitude and growth. I'd want to think back on the most important lessons I learned and the personal development I underwent during this journey, which has been nothing short of transformative. I now have a better understanding of the design process, first and foremost. I now understand that design encompasses a more comprehensive method of problem-solving than just aesthetics. I've learned how to understand end users, pinpoint their needs, and provide creative solutions through design thinking. This internship has placed a strong emphasis on practical experience. My technical skills have improved as a result of working with a variety of materials, tools, and equipment, such as laser cutting and CNC machines. I can now materialize my imaginative ideas in the real world thanks to these priceless practical skills. I have gained knowledge about the value of adaptability and resilience throughout this internship. There will always be difficulties in design because the process is not always linear. But I've come to realize that real growth comes from overcoming these obstacles. I've improved my capacity to solve problems and maintain composure under pressure. I leave my internship with renewed enthusiasm for design and a solid foundation of knowledge and abilities. I can't wait to put what I've learnt to use on future endeavors and keep pushing the envelope of originality and creativity. I want to publicly thank the entire team of Wonder Innovation Hub for their advice, mentoring, and support during this process especially to Mr U.Uphalee Maniam for giving me this golden opportunity working with his company. I'm excited to continue communicating with this supportive group and making significant contributions to the design community. In conclusion, this internship at Wonder Innovation Hub has been an amazing chapter in my professional development, I could not be more grateful for the opportunities I had to learn useful skills, work in an amazing setting, and form relationships that would last a lifetime. The entire experience added a great deal of value to my last year at University Putra Malaysia.
