Our Story
ExecuPOWER’s uncompromising commitment to the safety of its
employees, contractors, customers, and community is pivotal to
our foundation
ExecuPOWER, LLC is led by successful women from the fields of business
and engineering.
Maria Larson and Andrea Turley, the CEO and COO of ExecuPOWER, saw a
need in the industry for quality technical services provided by an experienced
women-owned business. Changes taking place in the utility industry, such as
the aging workforce, increased outsourcing, and greater infrastructure
spending, created an opportunity for them to combine their talents to form a
firm whose mission is to deliver premium design and consulting services.
Maria’s business acumen comes from her experience
as an entrepreneur who developed a small
outsourcing and staffing business that she grew into
an international firm in a span of 20 years, ultimately
becoming the largest woman-owned diverse service
provider in that industry.
Andrea, a professional engineer with more than 29
years of experience in the water, electric, and gas
utility industries, brings an in-depth knowledge of the
technical and operational aspects of the business.
As a result, ExecuPOWER began operations in a well-capitalized position, with
knowledgeable back-office support and a technical staff with more than 130
years of combined experience in the utility industry.

69kV Stuck Breaker and Line Relay Upgrade
ExecuPOWER is performing detailed design services
required to upgrade the 69kV transmission line
protection relays, 69kV circuit breaker control, and
69kV stuck breaker protection. The existing station
consists of a 69kV nine breaker ring bus, a 138kV five
breaker ring bus, and 25kV radial feeds. The new
relaying associated with the stuck breaker position
shared both a 69kV line position and a 138kV/69kV
transformer position. This required work in both
voltage levels to ensure proper stuck breaker trips
occurred. ExecuPOWER’s role consists of providing
complete engineering, design, quality assurance, and
drafting services.
Motts Farm 15kV Switchgear Upgrade
ExecuPOWER is providing engineering, design, and
drafting services for the upgrade of a 12kV outdoor
switchgear to an 15kV switchgear inside a concrete
masonry block enclosure. The switchgear will
accommodate for an increase in the distribution
feeders from 4 to 6. Two (2) new 12kV bays; each
consisting of bus structure, a vacuum breaker,
hookstick disconnects, station service transformer,
PTs, a precast trench system, and riser connections.
Motts Farm is in a flood prone area, the new
enclosure must be constructed on a raised platform
to meet local requirements.

transformer, jumpers from T2 to the existing copper
busses, replacement of nine (9) cap & pin type
insulators for the 4kV bus with station post type,
knockout wall replacement, new cable tray system,
and lighting (in-place and additional luminaires). All
lighting was replaced with a more desirable
power/light ratio utilizing LEDs. ExecuPOWER
implemented the new lights with the existing conduit
systems.
