GRILLING FOR CHARITY IN
SANTA ROSA

The Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa Bay Equity branches went for the “high steaks” June 6 to raise money
for disabled veterans. The Grill Master, a.k.a. Area Manager Randy Keller, led a team of Bay BBQ experts
against 22 other businesses in G&G Supermarkets and Harris Ranch First Annual “Cooking for a Cause”
competition in Santa Rosa.

Bay Equity did not win the completion, but was well-represented, serving up thousands of bites of
delicious steak to the customers judging the competition, and more importantly, meeting a lot more
potential Bay customers. Keller was one of two entrants invited by KTVU Channel 2 to come in for a live
preview on Sunday, May 31.

off to a great start, closing on more than 400 loans in their first few weeks - with the help of a great
group of existing Bay Equity Rock Stars.
“Let’s welcome this team of professionals aboard with our typical Bay Equity warmth and professionalism,”
said Bay President Casey McGovern. “We are expecting great things from this expansion.”

management to leadership techniques – all in the name of increasing sales volume.
The social aspect of the Summits helps people from different offices get to know each other, the hallmark
of an expanding, evolving and improving company. Ali Ghaziani was honored as the region’s top producer for

BAY EQUITY 2015 OPERATIONS

The Bay Equity Home Loans Operations Team met in San Diego May 31 to June 2 for its annual Summit.
Operations are absolutely essential to the overall success of any mortgage company. The Operations Team
works with servicers, originators and others in the industry to ensure the proper servicing of home loans.
That means overseeing document preparation, producing timely and accurate disclosures and closing
documents, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Operations manages challenges arising from ongoing market and regulatory changes and has to implement
and manage all upgrades and add-ons to software and systems. Basically, Operations does all of the dirty
work behind the scenes of the mortgage loan business. Ongoing interaction with the loan sales staff is
also crucial, to improve accuracy and efficiency by remaining current on developing issues, concerns and
standards. Efficient and excellent operations have been key to Bay’s methodical expansion.

$43,911, 855, respectively.
Speaking from Grand Junction, Chief Executive Officer Brett McGovern called the record a testament
to the company’s extremely efficient Sales and Operations Staffs, getting it done in the face of some
system issues that are beyond their control. “Our top originators are fired up and ready to finish
2015 stronger than ever. They are not alone,” McGovern said. “Our growth in volume and our ability to
