Elf
Elves are a secluded race who prefer their own company over
many others. It's rare to see pure blood elves outside of the
Charnault Kingdom. Elves live roughly four times as long as
humans do. Many are graceful, beautiful, and intelligent. Only
two types of elves exist in Etharis, elf and dark elf. Dark elves
are very emotional creatures that lean toward evil and it is
extremely rare to see one outside of the Charnault Kingdom.

Half-orc
Half-orcs primarily live within the Valikan Clans in the
freezing north. They are large and intimidating creatures who
have a history of violence. Many enjoy the open seas, good
food, and war, though some have broken the norm and
traveled south for other purposes. You would be hard pressed
as a half-orc to enter a settlement and not have guards keep a
close and trained eye on you.

Dwarf
Dwarves are the best crafters you will find on Etharis. They
are hearty people who are slow to trust but among the most
loyal of companions you can find. Most dwarves live in
Stenhwald, working all day and getting drunk all night, but
those who want more make for excellent adventurers.

Dhampir
The product of a vampire and human parent. Dhampir are
highly emotional creatures that face an enormous amount of
inner conflict. They are neither accepted by their fellow
humans nor vampires, often walking a very lonely and dark
path. Some dhampirs try to fully embrace one side of their
heritage, but they can never truly escape the emotions of their
humanity and their hunger for blood.

Half-giant
Widely known for their physical prowess and size, ranging
anywhere from seven to ten feet tall. Half-giants are not
innately stupid, though due to their power many live a straight
forward life with no need for critical thinking. The highest
population of half-giants can be found in the Castinellan
Province, bolstering their armies with dangerous might.

Tiefling
Some say that tieflings are the result of cursed pregnancies
by an arch daemon, or the result of an incubus and human
woman. Others say that tieflings crawled out of the fissures
in Ostoya, and walked Etharis before any other race. No
matter where they've come from, they are often seen as a bad
omen in civilizations. Because of this they tend to lean
toward an evil path, though there are some tieflings who fight
to break the mold.

Wechselkind
Wechselkind are constructs created by faeries - normally
formed of wood, clay, and ceramic in the form of a small child.
The faerie are callous and unchanging beings, so nothing
sparks their fascination (and envy) more than the bright
spark of a human child. Because of this a few steal children
and replace them with wechselkind, using their glamor magic
to disguise them as a real human child. Once the parents
realize they are often casted out or destroyed. The
wechselkind are purpose driven creatures who seek
belonging, ranging from good or evil depending on the
company that accepts them.

Downcast
After Gods End' divine powers weakened throughout the
land. Only the strongest angels were able to retain their
divinity, the lesser ones falling once more to the realm of
mortals. These mortals are known as downcast. While some
may have retained a sliver of their divine powers many were
left helpless and thrust into a world where everyone was
angry and afraid at the loss of their gods. Many downcast try
to hide their angelic features and accept their new life, while
others seek a path to restore them.
