RULES 1. All sheep entries must be in by Saturday 19th August 2023. 2. No stock to be removed before 5pm. 3. All stock must be the property of the exhibitor for at least 3 months. 4. All dogs must be kept on a lead. 5. All cups to be returned to the Secretary 7 days before the Show. 6. If 2 exhibitors gain the same number of points for any cup, the cup will be presented to the exhibitor with the most entries in the section. 7. Any person wishing to lodge an objection can do so with a deposit of £5 to the steward of the class within 15 minutes of the judging of the class disputed. 8. The Committee will not be responsible for any accident or loss incurred. 9. Only classes as stated on the schedule will be accepted for judging. 10. The Judges’ decision is final. 11. The Committee reminds all competitors and exhibitors that the Show’s Public Liability Insurance does not cover them and they are advised to arrange their own cover. 12. All food vendors, stallholders, attractions, entertainers etc. MUST have their own Public Liability and Employer’s Liability Insurance covering their potential liability arising from participation at the Show. Details of the cover held and its validity for the duration of the Show must be confirmed with the Secretary prior to participation. Regrettably failure to provide this information will prevent participation at the Show. 13. No bicycles to be ridden in the stock field. 14. All DEFRA regulations to be followed. General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 Erwood and District Show is an annual village agricultural show administered on a not-forprofit basis by the Show Committee. Any personal data held by the Show Committee will be used solely for the legitimate purposes of administering and generally promoting the Show and Annual Dinner. This includes, keeping a list of the names and (where appropriate), the contact details of members of the Show Committee, Show Vice-Presidents, volunteer helpers, judges, guest speakers, suppliers of goods and services to the Show and the participants and winners in any of the competitions and raffles held at the Show. THE BRECKNOCKSHIRE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY AWARD YOUNG LIVESTOCK HANDLER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION 2023 The aim of the competition is to encourage young handlers to exhibit their livestock throughout the Breconshire Shows. The 2023 competition is open to Young Handlers participating in the Sheep Young Handler Sections at Breconshire Shows. Competition Open to All Young Sheep Handlers 15 years of age and under 1st Prize £40, 2nd Prize £30, 3rd Prize £20, 4th Prize £10 The Young Handler must be under 15 years of age before the start of the 2023 showing season in Breconshire (under 15 years of age on 1st July 2022). The Handler will gain 1 point per exhibit at each show they attend. Further points will only be awarded for: 1st: 3 points, 2nd: 2 points, 3rd: 1 point.
