LETTER FROM THE EDITOR



TIMES GLOBUS MAGAZINE is a brain child of

Prashant Kumar, A 31 Year old serial Entrepreneur. My
dad was a writer popularly known as KVC Vaikom
(Alias). All he wanted in his life span was his writings to
be published in a Magazine so that he could reach
millions. This is what a lot of people among us dream
to achieve. Hence Times Globus is created with the

same ideology to bring forth the talent in various diverse areas in the
world to a single platform and help them to express. Times Globus soon
would also be Pioneering the TIMES GLOBUS ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
2017 with the aim of recognizing inspirational and exceptional leaders
and sharing their stories with the world.



TIMES GLOBUS MAGAZINE would like to present the opportunity of
being associated with the fastest-growing magazine in Indian fashion
which Plans to bring the taste of Fashion and Lifestyle to everyone
and revolutionize the world of Indian Fashion. We aim to produce

Deepshikha Nagpal is a

renowned Indian film and

television actress seen in
television shows like

Shaktimaan (1997), Son Pari

(2000), Shararat (2004) and
Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (2005).

She had been a contestant in

reality shows like Nach Baliye
5 (2013) and Bigg Boss 8

(2014). Her first on-screen

appearance was with the film
Betaaj Badshah (1994). Later

she acted in films like Koyla
(1997), Rishtey (2002), Partner

(2007) and Gandhi to Hitler
(2011).

Deepshikha has pushed the
envelope way too much. She

has found a place for herself in

the Limca Book of Records,
thanks to her film “ YEH

2011, in which she dons nine

Shreya has been a regular artist with DD1 and All
India Radio. She has performed in several shows of
DD1 including musical tributes to the legends,
New year eve shows from last 2 years. She has
been called as a guest in All India Radio's famous
show Chote Ustaad several times.





Shreya Basu has been learning Indian Classical
Music when she was as tiny as just 3 years old from
her great guruji Shri Mahesh Bharti from Kirana
Gharana. Her brother Siddharth was also fond of
classical music and whenever he practiced, his
little, just 2 years old sister used to sit patiently
beside him for hours being lost in the depth of the
tune. So it is not an exaggeration if we say that
Music lies in the deepest core of her mind. Her
father Mr. Tarun Basu also has a keen passion in
music that he inherited from his parents. So in
case of Shreya Basu, it s not just a sudden
blooming of musical quality but a perfect
manifestation of the quality through blood. It
was the far sight of the great guru Shri Mahesh
Bharti ji who could discover the amazing potential
in a 3 years old little girl and tenderly guided
and nurtured it in a perfect direction making
today's confident and skilful Shreya Basu. She has
done over 200 shows till now. But miles to go yet .

towards environment related issues.

1. One moment that changed your life.
The day I became an artist! I used to be a complete
corporate girl, doing the regular 9 to 6 shift. I knew
somewhere that my chosen profession was not only
outside of my skill set but direct opposite of what I wanted
to do in my life. My job, while challenging on the
technology front, was based on strict rules, and most
importantly not creative. My free-spirited soul was rearing
its rebellious head and kept telling me I need to do
something which I love to do but because of my non-
existent artist background, I feared that no one would take
me seriously. Despite the odds, I was confident. I knew I
didn't have any stage fear and knew every aspect of
fashion, Bollywood and grooming. I applied to over 10-15
fashion/entertainment booking sites and finally one of the
companies responded and booked me to host a new
year's show somewhere in 2010. That was my first show
as an anchor. I told them I don't have any experience but
they trusted me and that's where my journey began.


2. An experience that you can't get out of your head
My grandmother's demise. She was closest to me even
more than my parents. Just a month before her demise
she wanted to meet me. She wasn't well, she used to call
me to visit her in Agra city but due to work commitments I
could not go and till date I cannot forgive myself for this.
One day I was on stage hosting an event in Delhi and I
got a call from Dad. He told me we lost her. I had to face
that heartbreaking reality. I realised she would not be able
to see me or my sister get married, she wouldn't be
around to celebrate any occasion with the family, she
wouldn't be there to help me through the troubles. I think
of her often. She is the first thought on my mind the
minute I wake up and last when I go to sleep. This taught
me that we should not take anything for granted. Always
take out time for the people you love, work can follow


3. Is there something you know you do differently
than most people?
I believe creative people, especially who are artists are different. There is something charming and irresistible about
them. They somehow manage to see the world from another perspective, the things they do, the decisions they make are
somewhat different from what the rest of the people would do. I feel lucky that God have given me such skills, talent that I
can hold the attention of thousands of people who are my audience; not everyone can `manage it. It takes an awful lot of
determination, confidence, and talent. This makes me different from others.


4. How do you let go of things?
With time I have learnt that we should not cling to any frustration, worry, regrets, stress. There will never be a time when
life is simple-Accept that .Every moment is a chance to let go and feel peaceful. Stop being the victims and blaming
others; if someone has created negativity just forgive them and yourself. Make the decision to let it go. Things don't
disappear on their own. Live, let go, learn what you can and don't worry about the things you can't change.



5. if you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, what would you do?
Just pray and pray to God to give them a longer life.
