In a solemn ceremony students from Grade 5 – 7

Learning Process. As a part of
this project “Food
Papillae” (Activity 1) was
conducted in the month of April
with Grade 7 & 8. The
objective was to encourage
students to explore about food
around the world and to study
the food cycles of India, China and Italy. The
students had to prepare their own cookery books with
their favourite dishes and the students exhibited their
creative skills by ingenious work.

The most alluring activity was where the
mothers were invited to demonstrate the
famous dishes of India, China and Italy.
The students were enthralled by working
with their mothers and giving
demonstrations.

“Soul of a Nation” (Activity 2) was to
make the students aware of the value and
importance of National Anthem, National
symbols and National Songs. The most
important value which needs to be inculcated in
today’s generation is THE LOVE FOR THEIR
MOTHERLAND. The countries covered were
India, Sri Lanka and Australia. The students of
Grade 4 & 5 eagerly participated in various
activities. They learnt about the emblems of
these countries and also the National Anthems.
During the two week long spread of the activities
the students came across various facts about
Rabindranath Tagore the writer of the
Indian National Anthem and also
inspiration for Sri Lankan
National Anthem. The
enthusiasm to learn more and
know more was clearly visible in
the eyes of students.

DISCOVER INDIA PROGRAMME














The Discover India Program (DIP) is an integral
part of the experiential learning component for
Grade 1 & 2. The program’s primary focus is on
exploring, understanding, and experiencing the
rich culture and heritage of India. Some of the
aspects of study include fine and performing arts
practices and traditions, historical monuments
and architecture, social customs, religious
traditions/practices, festivals, rites. Under this



program the states covered were Punjab & Haryana where students on one hand enjoyed the
traditional dances and on the other the cuisines. The program is designed to be exploratory in nature
that allows students to develop a critical approach to the study of cultural and historical traditions.

Keeping pace with the changing times
and giving a global dimension for
academic cooperation and exchange
activities the school signed an agreement
with the Areum School, Sejong South
Korea. Principal Ms. Poonam Kumar
Mendiratta along with Dr. Sapna
Shepherd senior English teacher visited
South Korea to enable this programme.



Collaboration with Korean Cultural Centre of Embassy of the
Republic of Korea

The school has signed a MOU to organize and
participate in Korean cultural activities including
Korean Cultural Centre Tour, Storytelling Tour,
Arts Tour and many more.

EARTH DAY




Our Earth

Earth day is a reminder, of our eternal duty
to protect our planet, our home. As we
know this is the only planet where survival
is possible so it becomes our duty to save
our Mother Earth. With the view of
educating our Manthanities about what we
have and what we are losing by acting in
ways that aren’t environment friendly or
energy efficient and reminding them that
we need to take action now to protect our
environment before it’s too late. Our tiny
presented an engaging assembly and were
involved in different activities which
included hand print, tearing & pasting and
best out of waste. The middle school
students presented a Nukkad Natak which
emphasised on the theme for this year
“End Plastic Pollution” as our earth is
suffocating and dying slowly. The Primary
wing students made headgears with
slogans written ‘SAVE EARTH’,
‘I LOVE EARTH’.

LABOUR DAY




An attempt to make the students realise the
dignity of labour the International
Workers’ Day, also called as Labour Day,
was celebrated at the school with full zeal.
The celebration started with a special
assembly where the students of Grade 7
presented a skit depicting the value of our
school nannies and the helpers. The
students presented them chocolates as a
token of gratitude. With this small act they
learnt that how important it is to say
‘THANK YOU’.

MOTHER’S DAY





Reflection of MOM is
WOW. Thank you
mother for being the
pillar of strength and support, this was the
message given by the students to their dear
mothers. The day
began with a prayer
followed by various
performances of the
students from
Pre-Nursery to
Grade 4. The
students danced and sang songs for their
mothers which touched every ones heart.
This was followed by various competitions
like fireless cooking, best out of waste,
ramp walk, paper dance, zumba session and
fun games to make the day very special for
our unsung heroes “MOTHERS”.














BAISAKHI



Festivals bring joy and happiness.
Little Manthanities in full swing to know
about the famous harvest festival of
Punjab. The Baisakhi is the festival of
harvest and was celebrated in order to
acquaint the students with the Punjabi
culture and tradition. Children came
dressed in traditional Punjabi colourful
outfits with ornaments and accessories.

RED WEEK





Red is the colour of love and tiny tots
celebrated this week with the aim of
inculcating the beauty of colours. Each day
of the week was marked with a plethora of
activities keeping in mind that little tiny
tots should learn to recognize red colour
with full enjoyment and enthusiasm.

















LA CRÉATIVITÉ



The best way to give wings to the tiny tots
is through kindling their imagination and
giving voice to their expression that is what
is done beautifully with various activities
like poem recitation and colour your
imagination.



MATH WEEK : CELEBERATION OF NUMBERS


Maths Week is a fantastic opportunity for children to engage in
math activities, which they may not normally get a chance to
experience in a normal lesson. Grade 1 to 8 students participated
in different Maths activities designed

COMPETETIONS




An inter house Fireless Cooking Competition (part of ISA
project) was held for students of grade 5 – 7 where students
made delicious dishes with the readily available ingredients.
The students as well as the judges enjoyed the mouth-watering
dishes.

Field Trips .



As part of the ISA project students of grade
5 – 8 visited Priyagold Factory and
Muskan Bakery. The objective of these
trips were to give the students first hand
experience of making biscuits and what all
stages it has to pass before it reaches our
home. The students were enthralled by see-
ing the process of biscuit making and
baking.





GUEST SPEAKER PROGRAMME
The Manthan School Chronicles
To complement the academics the school arranges for a wide variety of
guest speakers from different walks of the life to come and speak to
the students on various topics. The students of Pre Primary
had a session of relaxation with Ms. Veenu, a well known
yoga teacher and a qualified physiotherapist who shared
various yoga asanas with interesting short stories.
A short awareness session on personal hygiene was
conducted by Dr. Anuradha Roy, for the students of
Hatchlings to Grade 2. She encouraged students to take
responsibility of their health and cleanliness to remain mentally,
physically and socially healthy. Children enjoyed the session by
doing the seven steps hand washing activity.

The Investiture ceremony signifies
the reliance and confidence that

The morning started with the
