PETI Validity Peroid

The validity periods for PETI certificates shall be as follows:-

DOCUMENT DAYS / MONTH

PETI CERT OF FITNESS + 7 DAYS

Note:-
1. The equipment owner must arrange for re-inspection of PETI upon expiry of the

above certificates.
2. For the project which the duration is more than 2 weeks, a dedicated PETI

Inspection team or personnel shall be established.
3. A memo shall be issued in case of any deviation due to special situation /

requirement agreed by management.

Radiography Test

Radiography Testing (RT)

• Only certified RPO is allowed to certify RT work and approve by RGTSU

AA before PTW issuance.

• RT only during night shift otherwise specify.
• Any RT to be carried out outside the above period shall be approved by

Terminal Manager

Scaffolding

• Erection shall be carried out by certified erector and inspected by qualified scaffolding

Inspector.

• Contractor shall submit names of inspector to RGTSU for endorsement.
• Scaffolding shall be inspected before use, weekly (after 7 days) , after heavy weather,

after modification and after any incident involving the scaffolding.

• No throwing of scaffolding materials. Down - up or vice versa.
• Scaffolding Tag. All inspected scaffolding must be tag with Green Tag.

Scaffolding and Staging

• Access ladder must extend 1.07 meters, above the landing.
• Scaffold must be erected on firm ground.
• Working platform must be fully boarded, fitted with double rails and toe-board.
• All scaffold must be kept clear of debris and unused material.
• Any scaffold extending more than 40 meters shall be designed by a professional

engineer and the design shall be approved by DOSH.

Hand Tools

• Defect or home made hand tools is not allowed.
• Wear correct size of glove ie cotton gloves, semi leather or rubber

gloves .

• Do not use bare hand to lift heavy or sharp object .
• No not use chisel for hammering.
• Only copper hammer allow in the process area

Hand Tools

• Razor knife is not allowed to be used as cutting tools. Use cutter.
• Air manifold should be installed with pressure gauge and RV.
• Workbench must be cleared of debris.
• Protruding nails must be pulled out.
• Moving parts shall be guarded.

Grating and Handrills

Any grating / handrails / stairway removal OR
modification work request shall be made
through PTW.

Removing and installing grating / false floor
/ handrails:-

• The handrail / grating shall be secured by means of rope
or wire to prevent it from falling.

• Grating shall be lifted/lowered by lanyard (not by hand)

The area surrounding the opening shall have
hard barricades installed.

Where temporary access is required -
temporary platform and handrail shall be
fitted as deemed necessary by Owner.

• Contractor shall assigned a team to maintain housekeeping.
• Place all rubbish at designated DISPOSAL BIN/LOCATION.
