Play Synopsis

Instead of relishing life after her heart transplant, Joy
enters a downward spiral, unsure whether she truly de-

serves a second chance. Meanwhile, Alice and Hank
mourn the loss of their son, Jack, whose heart was used
to save Joy. At a friend's urging, Joy tracks down Jack's

family to find closure. But are Alice, Hank, and their
daughter Sammy ready to accept Jack's death? Based on
a true story, The Tin Woman uses humor and pathos to
explore loss, family, and what it means to be given new

life.

Cast

Jaylen Cooper (Alice) is currently a junior at I. C. Norcom High school. They are
partially quiet but at the same time a kind and tenacious person.They are also very
hard-working and passionate when on stage. Jaylen plans to go to college for film right
after high school, and pursue a career in the industry after graduating. This is Jaylen's
first year at Norcom and their first year as a member of the theater club. Though Jaylen
participated in small acts or skits for their previous school, this is their first ever play.
Jaylen would not only like to thank their mother for being there for them throughout all
of this, but also the rest of the members for giving them the confidence of performing

onstage though being new to the club.

Chloe Vaughn (Hank) is a junior at I.C. Norcom High School. She has been a member of
the I.C. Norcom Theater Company for 2 years as an Actor and Tech Crew. She has

wanted to act since she was younger but didn’t fully make it her career choice until she
entered High School. She has been in twp other shows with the I.C. Norcom Theater
Company, including “Stressed” and “The Elves”. After high school she wants to attend
college for Drama and Film, and then continue down the acting path. She would like to
thank her family and friends for always pushing her to do her best and always support-

ing her decisions.

Kaliyah Johnson (Joy) is a sophomore at I.C Norcom High School. She has been apart of I.C
Norcom Theatre Company for two years. Kaliyah has been in multiple productions produced,
but this has been the most important role thus far. The college Kaliyah is planning to go to is
Hampton University and she plans to major in Criminology. One of her goals is to pass high

school with honors. Her plans after college are undecided, but whereever life takes her, she
will go enthusiastically. Kaliyah would like give a big thanks her family for supporting her and

her friends that were always there for her when she needed them most, especially her best
friend Azrael. Last but not least, she would like to give a gigantic shoutout to her Aunt for
being such a good role model; she was able to fill a void in Kaliyah’s heart that she never knew

she had.

Kameron Cutler (Jack) is a sophomore at I.C Norcom High school.
She is a student of the arts. She really enjoys spending time with her
family and friends. She also enjoys theater and the people in theater.
Kameron wants to thank her family and friends for all their love and

support.

Nahlia Stamps (Sammy) is a freshman at I.C Norcom High school. She is
hardworking, friendly, and she tries her hardest to succeed in school. This is
her first time acting, and she’s adjusting quite well to it. Nahlia is helpful and
kind to all of her peers. In the future, she hopes to make something of herself
and benefit society, but she still has a long way to go. She would like to thank

her family for being there for her.

Jade Mamma (Nurse) is a freshman at I.C Norcom High School. They are a
very hardworking, dedicated student. Ever since they were young they were

interested in the arts, from acting to singing, drawing etcetera.
