My DMS

OUR HISTORY

Beginning in November 2016, the DMS journey began
as a lesser-known unit in DSO and may be seen as an
underdog.
Three adapted core values of DMS governance are
namely Teamwork Commitment, Digital Data
Management and Education and Knowledge
Cultivation.
With new objective and high commitment from DMS
team members, many achievements and tasks have
been completed successfully.
The enthusiasm and determination shown by entire
DMS team members has proven that a well-planned
and implemented task will lead to a success. DMS
team members are confident that concerted effort,
clear direction, motivation, and efficient work together

with high innovation and creativity would
yield in excellent results.
With this, we are presenting our DMS
Performance Report Card for Year 2020.

WHAT WE DO

Manage passive operational data parameter in PSI SCADA Master
system. The data needed are transformer data, cable data, substation
data and maximum demand.

Continuously monitor active data quality at PMU level. Active data
quality focuses on Amp, kV, MW and MVAR readings at the primary
substation.
Check and monitor the network model in the PSI SCADA Master system
network topology. The purpose is to allow the calculated parameters to
be translated into state estimation calculations.
Actively executed the fine tuning network for State Estimation (SE)
function in the PSI SCADA Master System. SE is an application to estimate
the electrical state of a network by eliminating inaccuracies and errors
from measurement data.

NETWORK APPLICATION (NA) DATA
MODEL ERROR RECTIFIED

CELCOM STAY SAFE As much as 11,406 NA
data model errors have

been reduced to 98
errors year-round.

The NA data model works behind
the network devices model. The
NA data model error cause the
State Calculation / Power Flow to

not work properly.

18

ERRORS IN NETWORK MODELING My DMS
DEVICES HAVE BEEN CORRECTED

311 network modelling errors have been fixed in year 2020. The effected
elements include the wrong element picture variable (PV), the incorrect
connectivity and incorrect mapping of connectivity to the devices in the model. It
caused residuals in the SE results.

REDUCTION • As per DSO’s target, 1,504 distribution network feeders

• Around 370 primary substations were reviewed including
10,222 secondary substations and 10,222 cable sections .

• Passive operational data was reviewed from the first leg of
incoming feeder up to the feedback feeder .

• The quality of operational active data was checked for 370
primary substations.

• The results obtained via AFOR was recorded and
forwarded to SPOS section for further analysis on the
suitability to perform NOP changes on site.

• Technical losses savings was 26,704kWh per day and a
total of 9,613,440kWh recorded for year 2020.
