My Life Story

Birth Story

I was born February 12, 2004. The name my parents gave me
was Jazlyn Valerie Garcia. I was born at Long Beach Memorial
hospital. February 12, 2004 at 3:15 was when I was actually born.
From what I know is I had to stay about two weeks in the hospital so I
didn’t get to go home right away. When I was born I think mostly all of
my family was there. This is what i know about my birth story.

Holidays

Holidays are an important life event that shaped a part of who i
am today. Holidays shaped who i am today because on special
events like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year my whole family
would meet up. I was small at this time so it didn’t feel like family was
important or that family came first. Then it was year 2014 I was 10 at
that time and it was the 1st time our family ended up not meeting up
for Christmas it ended being fine, but it felt like something was
missing. This is why holidays shaped who I am today because it
made me relized family is important.

My Grandma

One person who also shaped who i am today was my grandma.
The reason why she shaped who I am today was because when I
was smaller my parent weren’t really home since they were working,
so my grandma would take care of me when my parents weren’t
home. Meanwhile when she would take care of me she teached me
how to wash clothes and fold them. She also taught how to clean and
do other stuff other stuff my mom taught me too. Though when my
grandma died I knew she shaped who I am today because she
showed me how to do stuff the right way.

School

School is boring but to be honest it was one thing that shaped who I
am today. I knew how to read and write by going to school. I learned
stuff i didn’t know i was going to learn like some problems in math.
Also going to school teached me and is still teaching me word I didn’t
know it also taught me science and history. I dont really like school,
but in my life this is the biggest thing that shaped who I am today and
it’s still shaping me.

About the author

My name is Jazlyn Valerie Garcia. I am 13 years old. I live in
california with my family. One thing I like is free time. During my free
time like weekend i try to spend it more with my family then being at
home being lazy. Some stuff i like to do the most is traveling. I like
traveling because it lets me see other places I haven’t seen. If not I’ll
stay home and chill. But these are some stuff I love to do.
