Why UA Little Rock?
“ I enrolled in the fall of 1992 and attended every
semester, including summer sessions, to expedite
the time frame for completing all the requirements
to obtain my degree. While I was enrolled at UA
Little Rock, I was recruited to work at United Parcel
Service in ‘hub simulation’ at nights throughout
enrollment. Hub simulation is managing and
routing which trucks to unload and load at the same
time to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness
of the package sorting operations. I was able to
work and get my degree finished in three years. My
advisor was a huge help in planning my curriculum
path throughout those three years to make sure
I was taking the right and available classes at the
right time to navigate my degree plan so quickly.
Just prior to graduating from UA Little Rock,
and completing my term with UPS, I started with
Arkansas Systems - now Euronet Worldwide
Software Solutions - as a programmer and quickly
became a technical supervisor. This is where I
really began to use my experiences as well as the
information systems and management emphasis
from UA Little Rock. The management aspect of
the curriculum really helped me and I enjoyed the
interactive approach my professors took - making
us think and not simply make quick or possibly
wrong decisions. In our world there may not be
a right or wrong, therefore it is so important to
consider many different perspectives or viewpoints
prior to making difficult decisions. This is where my
education from UA Little Rock proves invaluable.
We have many UA Little Rock graduates in the
Euronet Software Division, and we continue to
recruit and hire many great candidates as they
graduate from UA Little Rock. I still have many
friends that I stay in contact with from my time
“pursuing my degree at UA Little Rock.

historical significance and provides timely updates to its members.
Alongside First Lady Susan Hutchinson, Gov. Asa Hutchinson
proposed a heartfelt “thank you” toast, encouraging continued
